Do Tangle Teezers work?

I saw someone's signature yesterday that said she uses a Tangle Teezer, so I looked up about them. They look really good, but with them being nearly 10, I was wondering if you fellow curlies could tell me if it works and how often you use it, etc, so I know if it would be a good investment or not.

Thanks!
Hair type: 3a/3b, 'tanned blonde', fine, normal porosity, normal elasticity, fine texture, naturally curly hair.
Conditioner: Pure Coconut Oil Conditioner worked in, left for several minutes, washed out, second gentler application, left in for 3 minutes, washed out.
Styling: Boots Essentials Curl Creme or Styling Mousse for Curls

It wasn't me, was it?

I've been using one for ages and it's the only thing I can get through my hair, of which I have a lot. I use it with conditioner. A wide tooth comb was impossible, I tried 11 different ones, all different spacing and design. All went in the bin, as did the Denman.
