DevaNP vs Wen vs Generic CO

Just to note Sally's has a generic version of Wen but I've never used it. My sister did and ended up giving it away in a product swap but I can't quite remember why. Sorry I'm not much help . If I could just convince my sister to participate in the forum she could tell you herself.

The knock-off Wen, Hair One, is remarkably different. It is loaded with cones, while Wen only had Amodimethicone, and it's lower on the ingred. list.

Does it have proteins? I am currently recovering from protein damage and am traumatized and don't want to go anywhere near the stuff.
Medium texture, normal-high porosity, wavy-curly 2c to 3a-ish hair that is MOISTURE HUNGRY!!!
Currently recovering from a protein hair crisis. My hair hates protein, apparently.

Hair One has wheat protein, glycerin and amodimethicone-one silicone.I have never tried Wen because it is expensive.

I'm getting wen for christmas, mom's a qvc shopper and it was a today's special value. I'm getting only cleansing condish's. Will I love it? I'm only co washing right now, suave, and an occasional soap bar. Any tips on how to use, do you use some as a leave in, does it play well with other products, gels ?

I use gel (switch between CHS gel, Angell & Phyto Organix) and they all work well with it. I think you'll really like it! Post and let us know after xmas!

Oh - and try my trick to make the WEN last longer (since it's so expensive). When you get 1/2 way down the bottle, add water and shake it up to dilute it. It will make it a thinner consistency (more like Suave) but will still do the job.
The upside to Wen for me was I didn't need a second rinse out condish. In fact I was really OCd. Now that I'm having winter moisture problems I should revisit it.

I also wanted to revist this thread because now I've actually used all three, and I honestly have to say I love the No-Poo. I pull that out when I know I used something that will build up or when my hair is being weighed down, and it works fantastically. I like having the no-poo and the wen to rotate with.

I also love the various low-poos I have, California Baby is still one of the better on the ground low-poo's I've found. I like Inspiration by SNBE as well.

The product junkie in my would advise someone to have one of each? LOL You need them all for different reasons

On a side note, the Wen does have protein in it, but it seems to have varying amts with the different formulations. Which one did you use Jess?

I tried the Lavender and the Sweet Almond Mint. I really couldn't tell a difference.

Alright, I'm going to have to break out the wen today. Haven't used it in months.....like maybe since September or so? Maybe even longer. I broke out the No poo the other day too. I forgot how much I love it as well. All the hops in all of Deva's products make my head itch but apparently I can use one or two of them at a time and not have issues with it. I used the no poo two days in a row with no issues! So I'm going to make sure it's a staple still.

When I used wen I was straightening my hair more. I've never tried it to bring out my wave....I'm going to have to do that today.
