I just placed a pretty big order & when I separated out my creme for free shipping, it barely dented the shipping cost. Something like $15 vs. $16. So it's not that great of a deal unless you are primarily ordering cremes anyway.

Okay guys, another update --

I am tabulating orders still, I'm sorry I'm half a week behind, but my life has been crazy this week!!!!!

Obviously we're going to be ordering the Simple Aloe Jelly, but I'm gonna have to write to a few of you to see how much of something you'll take, because there are quite a few things that only about 4 people want. I don't see that it should be a problem though, because those things also come in slightly smaller sizes, so it won't be so bad to split 16 oz of creme 4 ways etc. Also, the amts of creme that people wanted REALLY varied, so I have to figure out what I'm gonna do with that.

Okay, PMs are finally starting to go out to clarify AMTs that you want.

I also need your opinion (or if this is okay with you guys). I've been trying to figure out a fair, but easy way to calculate the shipping to me.

Does anyone who is good in math have a simple formula for me to calculate shipping fairly? I've come up with 3 different convoluted plans lol.

Not sure if this is fair, but would it work to split the total shipping to you among folks according to how many items they are purchasing? For example, those that are purchasing four items in the Co-Op would pay 4x the shipping amount of those that only need one? From scouring that site myself, it seems that there is a base shipping price of $10+ that increases only slightly when additional items are added to the cart. The base shipping rate charged to us for each item could be determined by tallying the total number of item orders you received - ex. total # of orders for the jelly plus total # for the facial gel, etc. If you have a spreadsheet of everything each person ordered, I could help with this.

Do you mean shipping from EW to you? You to us? Both?

Can you assume that you could send packages flat rate shipping, medium box (for example)? That way you know what the cost is across the board.

Does that help at all??

Another thought: if you estimate on the high side, you could always refund us via PayPal. Or save the "credit" for the next order.

I'm not worried about a few dollars overestimated, especially as this is our first time.

I vote for Goober to get her shipping FREE, and even her products for FREE for doing all the work behind this. I know how time consuming this is and her time is valuable!

This seems like a good idea and is fine with me. An alternative would be to divide the total shipping cost by the total number of ounces (i.e., all of our orders put together). That would give us a price-per-ounce shipping cost. We could then multiply the total number of ounces for each person by the price-per-ounce. For example, (just making up numbers here) let's say the total cost to ship is $50 and we're ordering a grand total of 500 ounces. $50/500 oz=0.1 or 10 cents per ounce. So, let's say I ordered 24 oz of product. 24 x .1=2.4 So I would pay $2.40 for shipping. I think this works out correctly, but I've been known to screw up simple arithmetic.

I know you've had many offers, Goober, but let me know if I can help in any way. Also, just so you know, this is going to be a good deal for all involved, so any way you want to do it is absolutely fine with me. And thank you, again.

No, nnmay, you haven't gotten one yet, because the people who only requested Simple aloe jelly are last on the list. Less questions for you peeps

Two of my plans were very similar to Delmeza's and Tonzofcurls (only more convoluted). I knew you guys would rescue me. If its okay with everyone, I'm gonna go with shipping charged by oz ordered.

Solid, I was just going with the shipping to me, because the shipping out will be pretty easy to guess. Flat rate box or a small priorty box price is easy to estimate. I'll just tag that on the end of everyone's order (according to what they are shipping).

And also, the price for the simple aloe jelly is going to be so ridiculously cheap. I mean seriously. Right now, the price (with shipping to me only) is 2.67 for 8 oz. I mean, HELLO?? cheap hah. Even if that's all a person ordered, I think I'll put that in a padded priority envelope (or a smallish priority box) and you're talking approx 6.67 WITH shipping for 8 oz. hahahahaha.

I think that what I'm gonna do is probably order one more gallon of the Simple aloe jelly, so I'll have some sitting around for late-comers, or people who change their mind and decide for more. I mean, really -- why not get another 8 oz and stick it in your flat rate box? I think that if people have ordered 16 oz worth of stuff anyway, it won't cost anything extra (maybe 2-3 more dollars?) to add another 8oz and put it in the medium flat rate box.

I worked on about half of it today, and the other half of questions will go out tomorrow. I'll have to wait on some responses, and I'll also start sending out the estimates for your costs (of those who have simple, solidified orders).

I also will want to post a final order list to verify all the products we're ordering so people can make last minute revisions.
