So, What Products are You Loving These Days?

Just discovered Darcy Botanicals! Got a lot of their creams to try out - so far, so good. My hair loves the pumpkin conditioner as well.

So far, my winter HG has been Deva B'Leave In, pink Boots, and Aquage Mega-Hold. The only downer is I can't get SDH with it. The only thing that give me great SDH is KCCC, but my hair is NOT liking it in the winter.

I'm still trying combos, tho. Getting a trim in 2 weeks - I'll hold off on major experimenting until then, it's always nice to start with a clean slate!

Gels: BRHG, AO B5, LALSG

CG since 2/07 and loving it!
My favorite products/combination is KCCC mixed with B'Leave-In. When you told me about mixing B'Leave-In with AnGEL, I was traveling with a limited selection of hair products, and KCCC was the only gel I had with me. Since I didn't want to buy gel I'd have to jettison for the TSA (although I left the $1 conditioner for my curly haired baby brother), and didn't realize that I didn't have any other gel with me until I was stepping, dripping from the shower, I decided to try the combination. It's worked well for me from that day on. I vary the proportions depending on dewpoints.

I also use homemade flaxseed gel some of the time, but find that it takes a bit more work to get multi-day hair.
Peace,
Morgan

I've had consistently awesome curls with my routine of Deva Low Poo, AOGPB as rinseout, AOHSR as leave-in, and KCCC since the beginning of November. Until last week, that is. I seemed to be having some over-conditioning issues so I eliminated the AOHSR and tried CJ Curl Assurance Leave-in and BSRHG instead. That seemed to work. Then tonight I decided to try CJ Curl Assurance Smoothing Gelly. BAD choice!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sitting here with soft hair and no scrunch. I find I really need the scrunch because I wash my hair at night and SOTC in the morning. I'm DREADING seeing my hair tomorrow morning.....
fine hair, not sure of porosity.
Deva Care Lo-Poo
Rinse-outs: AO GPB, JC
Leave-in: CJ Curl Assurance (a dime's worth)
Style cream: KCCC, CJ CCCC-lite, & BRHG
Protein Treatment: SS Repairing Protein Treatment
DT: SS Deeply Decadent Moisturizing Treatment, CJ Hibiscus & Banana Deep Fix

Holy Grails: AO GPB, SS Repairing Protein Treatment, KCCC, & BRHG
My hair is really loving KCCC-my curls are sooo nice and defined everytime I use it! This stuff takes my curls to a different level....it's definitely in a league of it's own!

My favorite line is Curl Junkie! I currently have:

Curl Rehab (very nice as a rinse-out and LI...GREAT product)

CALI (I really like this...hate it's being discontinued)

H&B Deep Fix (I like this as a DT)

CIAB (I think that this is a nice product..I'm saving it to use more in the spring/summer).

Aloe Fix Gel- I believe this is the best gel I've ever used. I did like EcoStyler but it has proteins which I cannot use on a daily basis, but this doesn't, so it's one of my main products. I use it with just about everything and with great results!

CCCC-I know it's a good curl creme, but I have yet to figure out the best way to use on my hair.

Honey Butta LI- This is nice and moisturizing...smells so yummy. I've yet to use it all over my hair, but I like to use it to slick my hair back into a ponytail-makes it so smooth!

Styling Water- Haven't really used it yet but I like the way it smells!

Beauticurls Daily Conditioner- Smells great...nice, rich, and moisturizing!

Soon will be ordering:

Smoothing Gellie
CCCC Lite
Curl Fix
CA Smoothing Daily Conditioner
Daily Fix Cleansing Conditioner

I also like:

AOHR
(rich and moisturizing)
KBB's Hair Mask
KBB's Milks and Butters
Darcy's Botanical's Deep Mask

Oh wow..how can I forget:

Qhemet's Biologics AOHC
-NOW THIS IS SOME GOOD STUFF...very moisturizing...love it!

CURL JUNKIE ZOMBIE !!!
Have been using CJCR as a leave in with good results, AOHR has been my staple rinse out for a while now. I wasn't really getting fab results with Lustrasilk Shea Butter and Mango (was trying as a rinse out and leave in) until I tried it in dry hair as a DT - this I like!
UK - 3a/b med/coarse - mix normal/ high porosity.

Hi Tiffany! Was wondering where you've been. I've got nothing to add as I've pretty much been using what you have listed in your signature. But I'm finding it's not enough for my hair in the winter. If you've found something that works better please let me know as you and I have identical hair!
CG - 3/27/09

Right now my hair is loving the simple routine. (Don't know how long it will last) Suave naturals for cowashing, GF Triple Nutrition conditioner, and LA Looks Mega Hold gel, which I switch to LA Sport Gel in warmer weather. It's all working great for now!

Must add KBB hair milk, butter, and cream! Just trying them out this week but I will definitely be repurchasing. My hair has never been so shiny and the tangles melted away in the shower with the hair milk. Lovely!

3b/c mix; mixture of fine, med. and coarse texture with med-high porosity

Current HG routine: Tresemme Naturals conditioner; AG Fast Food LI; AG Recoil; CJ CIAB = no crunch, lots of body and awesome definition

I got so spoiled by my good hair days with the fabulous Georgia water, that I've had very little patience with my hair lately. It seems no matter what I do I don't get hair that's as nice as it was up there.

That said, Arc Angell and got2b spiked up are gels that work decently. I like L'oreal Vive Pro conditioner (but try to not to use too much since it was protein) and I have to use Heaven in Hair about every 2 weeks.

My mom's visiting next week and I've asked her to bring me 2 empty milk jugs full of GA water to see if I can replicate the good hair days.

I'm still in love with my usual stuff (in my sig). Haven't found any replacements for any of it especially the Ojon. Just nothing out there like it.
I'm bored tho so I just went on a Sally's spree. I don't like going in the actual store so thank goodness for online specials and free shipping. Got a bunch of conditioners and treatments and some non-hair related stuff (nail files, lip crayons, makeup). I should now have enough conditioner to last me way over a year. Fun shopping tho!

I'm having a wonderful time playing around with all my Darcy's Botanicals products. I love them all but my favorites are the Pumpkin Conditioner, Coconut Lemongrass Transitioning Creme, and the Peach Kernel Hydrating Milk.
I've been using Deva No-poo for close to 3 years now. (Wow, has it really been that long?) I haven't tried the new formula yet, so I hope it keeps working for me. I only use it on my scalp.

Suave coconut has been my go-to, saturate-and-detangle product for about 2.5 years now. Still works.

Finally found a conditioner that doesn't overcondition and weigh me down - Jessicurl Aloeba. I should have tried it 3 years ago and instead waited until this year. I've been using it for a month without rotating and my hair is still happy and not weighed down at all. Seems shinier and easier to detangle too - which is a big deal as I'm approaching waist length.

Finally found a gel that works for me - Fuzzy duck.

My hair also (surprisingly) likes Devacurl Heaven in Hair. As a leave-in, amazingly. I haven't used it since I started using Aloeba, so if I decide to rotate this will be my choice.

finally at waist length!
I'm still loving my Aldi steals! Their condish and gel are CG, dirt cheap and the best products I've tried so far. They are comparable to Matrix biolage, though I've never tried the Matrix version. So glad I found these....no more dumping big bucks to find something I like.
KCCC and Curls Curly Q's Gel-les'c are working well for me, as long as I use a hard hold gel like BRHG over them.

On a whim, I decided to try Aubrey Organics GPB, but I only like the Whole Foods version in the Lavender Ylang Ylang because the regular GPB scent did not agree with me. My hair needed protein and I never bothered to figure that out previously.

Sorry to hear about your internet problems...I've been there and it sucks! Just don't switch to Verizon...they are worse than Brighthouse (if you can imagine that!)...

Not too many changes for me...still really happy with Komaza when the dews get below 40 (and they do in Gainesville much more often than Tampa!). Coconut Pudding saved me many times over along with Califia Conditioner with KCNT as my leave in.

Once the dews got back in the 40's, I'm still having success with my rotation of Mop C, re:coil, and Curls gel-les-c for my curl enhancers.

My stand by conditioner remains JC Aloeba & CJ BC daily. I'm still loving Curl Fix as my weekly deep conditioner, but I've also been playing with it as a leave in and that's been going well, especially paired with CJ curls in a bottle.

I just broke down and ordered the new CCCC-lite and daily fix cleansing conditioner from CJ! Can't wait to play with them...

And, my newest find has been Herbal Essences set me up gel. I bought it on a good sale (with a CVS coupon) and wow!! Mixed with a bit of DevaCurl Angel, it has worked great for me, regardless of the weather!!
See you soon!!

Jacqui

ps...by the way, last night, I got a compliment from my DH....when I was paying for my latest CJ purchase, he said "why are you buying more stuff? you don't need it.....your hair looks better now than it has in the last 10 years!"

Wow....

Happy belated New Year's, my curly sisters

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday...as you can see, I am a bit behind. I am finally recovering from nine weeks of total Internet hell...I've barely had any online access since early December (so I apologize for any late responses or lack of response in the last two months). Ask me how much I love Brighthouse right now

Anywho...as we start into 2010, I'd like to ask: what products/brands are you loving right now? I am still on a quest for the "perfect" product line and have been experimenting like mad with all kinds of products, but am far from satisfied. Salon brand, drugstore brand, doesn't matter...I'd just like to know what products are lighting up your lives these days?

Thank you for all the great responses

I started using Curl Junkie in the salon on a limited basis right before the holidays, but had to suspend my experimentation for a while since I am so busy during that time. I have recently just picked back up again and have some of the new stuff in-house as of yesterday.

Incidentally, I cannot begin to tell you what an absolute pleasure it is doing business with Marsha of Curl Junkie. She has taken my feedback (and the feedback of her customers) so seriously, is genuinely interested in what we have to say about her products, and--wait for it--actually uses that information to improve her line.

*gasp* Really? A product manufacturer who actually cares about her customers' satisfaction and recognizes the knowledge they have about products and product ingredients? Who'd a thunk???
