why wont my hair SHINE?

Arg. It told me it didn't connect the first time. Double post.
3c, chin-length. Natural since 2002 and loving it! Nursed hair to health and now only need two products: Elucene Moisture Balancing condish and Enjoy Sulfate-Free poo. EVOO (or Ojon, if I get a sample) as DT. Don't be afraid of conditioner!
jenny, I can't remember if you've tried them or not, but cold honey rinses are good for shine.

color-treated red/brown, medium-textured hair

ACV makes my hair pretty shiny. The generic KPac protein treatment does as well, but that'd only work if your hair likes protein.
Honey makes my hair super shiny. I'd add a bit to my conditioner or deep treatment and it definitely cranked up the shine considerably. I've never tried the cold-rinse technique.
Jojoba oil works well too.
sf honey lightens the hair yes. It brings out red highlights in mine and I'm not even coloring. That's just lightening my natural color.

Jennyfurrens did try honey. She has some pics in her www clickie.
Honey doesn't add shine for me but aloeba does. I just have to be careful how much I use as it will pull my curl out eventually. It takes about a week though of using it daily.
My hair is dark so good conditioner or oil will add shine so maybe that's why it does that.
2c/3a?
Low porosity, medium texture.

If it smells good put it in your hair, if it tastes good spit it out!
oops, sorry sf, I didn't see your post before. I guess honey probably could lighten up your coloring some yeah, but nothing dramatic. But then again, I use it regularly so I can't really tell if it's lightening mine or not.
