Styling product minimalists....could you share your routine?

Before I discovered gels and leave ins, I honestly never used anything in my hair, other than just shampoo and conditioner. And I only felt the need to wash my hair every 3-4 days.

Now that I use leave ins and gels, my hair feels dirtier so much faster. So I want to try and get by with the least amount of styling product.

My hair doesn't look bad without products, but it does lack definition.

So what do you use (or not use) for styling?

Hair Type - medium to fine texture, high porosity, lots of it, type 2b/3a
At the moment I'm absolutely in love with KCKT and KCCC. It's all I'm using and it's giving me consistently awesome hair days. It's kinda pricey, but a big tub of KCCC lasts me 6 months or more.

I generally use KCCC by itself although I might add a little BRHG or Seamollient in the front to hold my bangs off my face if it feels like they are going to fall forward. This winter I've been easily getting 3rd and 4th day hair.

+1 for KCCC and KCKT.
I like my gels light, my oils heavy, my conditioners thick, and my curls long...
My only one product routine is homemade flax seed gel.

I LOVE HENNA!
That's funny because I do love KCKT and KCCC too, they are my HG too. But They still feel a bit producty to me on the 2nd, 3rd days, etc. I will try KCCC alone and see what happens.

I've also tried FSG too, but I felt like I had to use so much of it, defeating the purpose.

I don't add KCCC after the 1st day....I just allow my hair to get slightly damp from steam in the shower and use a tiny bit of FOTE or CIAB on wet hands to smooth and scrunch some shape back into my short 3a (non-porous, thick and fine) hair. I do use a tiny bit of conditioner as leave in under the KCCC on the first day if my hair feels like it could use a little additional moisture.

What I do is cowash at night, apply my butters(shea and avocado), Braid my hair in a few french braids, and loosen them in the morning and make a bun. The producty feel is gone in the morning and my guess is because I braid my hair and let the butters absorb.
