SpiralSolutions Rock!!

My computer is broken and being serviced right now but I've been using my iPod touch to stalk her etsy site all day long! I want that firm hold gel!

Not to gloat but my deeply decadent moisture treatment and the protein treatment came today and I just finished the protein treatment and now the moisture treatment is sitting on my head. Reviews may be on the blog by the end of the weekend if I can get time between the boyfriend and studying for an immunology exam

I think runner has made some changes to her formulas since I tried them. I did like her DT which I used as a rinse out. The spiral solutions and FHG didn't really do a lot to enhance my waves though. I didn't get amazing curl enhancement or spirals that others have described I know she was going to up the hold on the FHG since a lot of us experienced the hold not lasting. My hair is terribly finicky and hard to hold so I thought maybe this line is better suited for the finer hair types? I'm curious if any other coarse curlies have had good success with her line?

I didn't have much luck with the original FHG and I'm finer haired lol. I have heard reports that the new one has much more hold.

I did lovelovelove the CEJ though. I could tell def enhance with it. One of the few that actually encouraged wurlies.

I don't know about the fine haired thing. MsG isn't fine haired is she?

I was wondering if I was the only one not getting amazing curl enhancement with the CEJ. In fact, I got some wonky curls and some straight ends sticking out which is not typical for me. I am wondering if it is the sea salt - I don't think I've ever used a product with that ingredient before.

I get my best curl enhancement from KCCC or DM Miracurl curling jelly. I've been experimenting with adding one of those products in with the CEJ.

The SS products are definitely amazing - I ordered one of everything and am enjoying exploring my options with all of them. And, I'm not giving up on the CEJ yet!

I am far from fine textured, though probably not as coarse as Del. I had great great great enhancement with the CEJ. Loved it. I had root curl! Whoa!

Definitely didn't have enough hold on it's own for me, I had some frizz and lost some curl eventually. But I am excited to try it in combination with the FHG today and see if the hold is better.

BHRG works differently on my two different textures. On my 2a hair underneath its too much. its too crunchy. I can't even SOTC it out. I would love to use it just on my wavier hair (the top is 2c almost 3a sometimes), but I'm not going to go to all the trouble to separate out the two textures with stylers (though I have been known to do that with my conditioners). Otherwise, I would prolly use BHRG exclusively.

My hair is definitely on the finer side and the CEJ just isn't working for me. I had such high hopes given the reviews here. I've used it with and without the FHG. But no luck. I may try it one more time before I put it on the swap board. I haven't used the FHG enough to have an opinion.

I love BRHG. Not sure about DMMG.

Products are in stock!!

I just checked the etsy site again and she has CEJ, FHSG and RPT, as well as the emollience in stock.

I just ordered the two styling gels and can't wait to try them!
Woot!

I ordered the RPT for a friend of mine as well. So excited!

I'm still loving this stuff!

Okay, I just checked on her site, and she's already sold out, of everything except the DT (and emollience). *sigh* I had just decided I was gonna order some more PT because I'm really liking it. Also, there is a note that she'll be out of stock on the PT until her suppliers can get some more of the ingreds in.

Woot, I just grabbed a firm hold gel! I'm very excited, and I know there's been some talk about how firm the hold is, but I was wondering if anyone who needs a good blob of BRHG is having success with the FHG on its own. I don't want to go overboard and use both, but some days even the BRHG isn't enough for me. What's odd is that I use probably a quarter sized blob for my very fine, shoulder length hair, which is a death sentence for curlies with much longer, thicker hair. Hair is so strange.

Anyway, has anyone who needs BRHG used the firm hold gel on its own with success? Or do you have an estimate on how little BRHG I should use?

Hair type: Fine, fairly porous, shoulder length when curly. Probably a 3a or 3b with tight ringlets now that it's getting longer. Hair loves aloe, hates glycerin.

Co-Wash: Suave Naturals Aloe and Waterlily (my HG conditioner!)
Rinse Out: Garnier Sleek and Shine, Trevor Sorbie curl conditioner (UK only, unfortunately)
Stylers: KCCC, AG Re:coil, TIGI mousse, but open to suggestions!
Gels: BRHG (my one and only)

Dang, I got there too late. Again. Sigh.

I may just give up until she's got a system for higher inventory. Or better yet, for preorders. I mean, if you could just preorder the things you want, then you get an email invoice when it's ready, so it's not a "check the Etsy and cross your fingers" sort of thing.

Eh heh.

I mix them together in my hand before applying in 3 sections - both sides and then upside down in dripping, soaking wet hair.
