SpiralSolutions Rock!!

For anyone who missed the firm hold gel, it seems there are a few for sale right now.

Cowash: Giovanni or Suave
Condish: GFTN, SSCC

I didn't have much luck with the original FHG and I'm finer haired lol. I have heard reports that the new one has much more hold.

I did lovelovelove the CEJ though. I could tell def enhance with it. One of the few that actually encouraged wurlies.

I don't know about the fine haired thing. MsG isn't fine haired is she?

I mix them together in my hand before applying in 3 sections - both sides and then upside down in dripping, soaking wet hair.

PM me if you have suggestions for my hair (i.e. product, etc.), help would be very much appreciated!
Just wanted to chime in since I'm a coarse curly and not too many have posted reviews! I'm still loving the 3 products I've tried. The CEJ is competing right now with KCCC. I've never found anything to come close before. I used CEJ and I get clumps at the roots!!! It also dries much faster than KCCC. The one problem I'm having with it is that it is not strong enough to hold my damaged hair into clumps. KCCC can. but I'm hoping that as my CG hair grows in and I cut off the damaged parts it will be better. I do need something stronger to hold the CEJ because the curls fall out by the time they fully dry. Lately I've been mixing it with KCCC.
I really like the DT it is moisturizing but I can't use it as a leave in.
The emollience I love so much, I use it everywhere.

I used my apHogee last night. I'm running out of my SS Protein stuff. Anyway, it was so horrible after getting spoiled by Runner's protein treatment. My hair felt coated and bleh.

I will stalk her site so that I may order some more PT To be honest, I don't mind having to wait, or watch out for stuff. I am just so happy that her stuff is taking off and she's doing so well. yay for woman power!

I am going to have keep an eye on my hair and the dead sea salts. Getting some surface frizz when I use the curling jelly. Nothing like with the mag sulfate frizz I get but it's definitely there.

This may seem random, but can anyone make some comparison remarks about Spiral Solutions Deeply Decadent Moisturizing Treatment and any of the Lustrasilk cholesterols?

I haven't tried either one, I'm just curious if there are any similarities in the way people are using them and how they are working.

Sea salts? Hmm.. could that be because it's winter/low dews or would that be something that will affect ones hair no matter what the season?

So, this ingredient (dead sea salts) is not like that but I am wondering if using a leave in with it would alleviate that (I have not been using leave ins lately). And, for me, my hair reacts to the mag sulfate year round!!

The Lustrasilk products were quite nice for us. We use them as DT (Shea Mango and Organic w/Argan) and leave in (Olive Oil). The best one IMHO is the Organic with Argan Oil. They had a lot of slip for Tahia's hair and work quite nicely for her.

However I don't think they are comparable to the Spiral Solutions DT. Consistency is way different, ingredients are way different. The Lustrasilk, to me, feel and smell artificial. Not that this is terrible but if you open up both tubs (SS DT and Lustrasilk in whatever flavor) there is a clear difference. Not to be a product snob (and remember we like the Lustrasilk!) but it's sort of like comparing a Hyundai to a BMW. Nothing wrong with either but clearly not the same class. Not that there is anything wrong with the Hyundai..hope this is clear.

In how they perform it is somewhat similar. The SS DT has more slip and is more moisturizing for us. For Tahia's hair the difference in effect is most noticable--but her hair is much drier than mine. The SSDT provided more moisture longer. It also is a more multi functional--the Lustrasilk OOC we can only use as LI (it was weird as a rinse out and didn't work as DT at all), the Shea Mango works best as a DT or rinse out and didn't work for us as a LI, the ORganic with Argan worked everywhere we've tried it so far (it is our favorite). The SSDT works great as all three--really outstanding.

Since I cannot get Lustrasilk on ground the cost, once you factor in shipping, is not that much cheaper. I ordered online and got 3 tubs of Lustrasilk and paid $22 including shipping. So yes that's cheaper than SSDT overall but it's not $3 tub for me either!

So, to sum, they performed similar for us for the most part--particularly with the Lustrasilk Organic w/Argan oil-definitely closest. But we've found we really don't reach for the Lustrasilk that often--mostly cuz it feels, IDK, artificial? Chemically? Not sure exactly.

I wonder what in the DT your hair doesn't like Laura? Hrmm...

For me its just the opposite, it makes my hair so freaking soft, its almost too soft! I can't do it the same day I do my PT or it almost reverses the effect of the PT.
