SpiralSolutions Rock!!

Has anyone else found that their hair doesn't like the deep treatment? It's made my hair hard every time and in everyway i've tried to use it

You enablers! I've been successfully squelching my PJ tendencies since at least Thanksgiving (after cleaning out my stash and realizing the hundreds I'd spent!), but I finally succumbed and went to check out Runnerchicki's site. You might know, I went right in and ordered the jelly, protein treatment, and moisturizing treatment on the first try! The only thing I wanted to try (for now) that she was out of was the firm holding gel.

Havin another great hair day with the CEJ and FHG. Lovin this combo! Aside from some frizz caused by putting my hood on and off this stuff is holding up beautifully in the awful windy snow Boston has right now

I'm still debating if I want to get the DT... Thanks to those who weighed in on the comparison to lustrasilk and satisfied my random curiosity.

has anyone used the emulsifier?
right now i use it on days my hair seems to need some smoothing. it helps my hair curl more and it never leaves it heavy or greasy.
i'm thinking of trying it as a styler today, just using the dt as a leave in, then the emulsifier.
any ideas/opinions/experiences?

Well the first time I used the DT I had just done the protein treatment. After I rinsed the protein out I applied the deeply decadent as a rinse out then a bit more as a DT.

So last night I was thinking maybe my hair didn't like the protein or the combo of the two so I tried just the deeply decadent on wet hair. It worked really well. It made me spiral. It dried stiff but when I rinsed it out my hair was soft and shiny. I'm actually thinking I may simply not have needed the protein treatment since i've been putting coconut oil in my homemade DTs.

So summary: I now like the deeply decadent as an overnight DT but I'm undecided on the PT just because I don't think my hair really needed it and that may have made me stiff

I've been enjoying the products that I've had, so I went ahead and ordered the FHG and Emollience as well. How are you getting the best use out of the Emollience? I know there have been some posts regarding it, but I don't know if I should use it on dry hair to sotc, or midday for frizz, or on wet hair after li and gelly to seal...? Any input about your fave way to use it will be much appreciated!
Laura Lee, I took a look at your review. WOW! Your hair looks fabulous! I'm so anxious for my SS to arrive. It finally cleared Canada Customs last night (9 days after arrival). I told runnerchicki that they must have been testing the product, they all have great hair now so decided to release it to Canada Post for delivery...LOL. Just a couple of quick questions. In #9 of your routine, did you mix the Curling gellie and Herbal Essence SMU together or apply separately?(not sure that would make a difference) Have you tried this step with BRHG? TIA

Laura Lee; I didn't realize it but I think I was waiting for your reviews and photos to finally decide I have to get my hands on some of this....I just have to order when all the products I want are available.

can I ask, what is the length of your hair? In the pictures it looks a bit below shoulder length, but is it about collarbone length when dry?

I'm thinking of cutting my hair and I'd like your permission to take your hair picture to my salon as my inspiration. We have very similar hair texture and density and probably porosity too, so I'd love to maybe someday have lovely hair like you.

I'll be trying your routine as well til I can tweek my own. thanks for the review it helped me alot.

Please please please take my pictures! That is one of the many reasons I put so many pictures of my hair up! I'm actually getting it cut back to just at shoulder length and having some layers put in. What you see now is the result of nearly a full year of growth from a cut that was at chin length to begin with (search my blog for "Curly bob" to see pics of that cut). So all the layers have grown out and it's pretty darn uniform, except at the ends, where certain curls seem to grow faster than others! So if you aren't getting your hair cut before March 8th, that's when I'm getting mine cut and I'll for sure have plenty of pics of that.

I'm glad you found the reviews helpful

I just got my shipment of firm hold styling gel!!!! I'm going to use it now as I have a big event to go to tonight and wanted to redo my hair beforehand anyway so it would look freshly styled

I was finally able to try the SS CE Jelly and Firm Hold Gel today. (Being Canadian really slows this process down sometimes !!! lol)

All I can say is WOW. Like Msgiblet, my curls started to spring up immediately. My hair has awesome curls that are so soft I'm having a hard time keeping my hands out of my hair.

I love the red currant and thyme tea fragrance as well.

I also tried the Emollience Hair Butter. My hair soaked it right up.

Very high quality products. I suspect she'll continue to sell out quickly.

Congratulations Runnerchicki !!!

Too many favourite products to list ... I finally have my routine that works and alot of products to choose from. My product stash is huge, but well loved !!!
Goobs or anyone else who may know.

Can you compare the aphogee 2 step with the SSPT? How much protein punch is it more, the same or less than the Aphogee? The Aphogee is the only PT I've ever done. I did it on Jan 18th. The last week or so, I've lost all my spirals and the silky softness is gone. I thought I would try another PT since the bi-weekly DTs are not helping!

Thanks!

Man, I was so close to getting all the products, but I put the protein treatment in the Etsy cart, waited to answer some email, then went to check-out and...someone beat me to the last one. sheesh.

But I ordered/preordered what was there. I did message Runnerchick to please just let me preorder/get the RPT, and maybe that'll work. I dont' mind waiting for my whole order to be on hold until the RPT is ready, since I prefer to use a whole system right off, rather than piecemeal.

I have some Aphogee 2-step here, but have been afraid to try it after hearing about the nasty smell. Hm. But if it's really good, I may cave. Is it really good?

MirCurls I think I bought the last PT ! I couldn't tell you if the Aphogee is good or bad I have nothing to compare it to. I only used the protein portion not the after balancing conditioner. In my opinion, the smell was not bad. It certainly is not worse than a relaxer or a nail salon. Once I rinsed it all out I was just happy that my hair wasn't hard and straw like. Once I put in my CJCR I was like ooooh this is what they mean by wet silk! I'm hoping th SSPT will be similar or better.
Hopefully Goobs and the other ladies will chime in they are more knowledable than I am.

The CE jelly+firm hold gel seem to work best in dew points above 40? My hair has been wilting and flat for 2 days ( the sun came out again here!) I like the clean feel and it seems fairly curl enhancing and light but I am going to save the rest of my samples for the rain. I am living in a new building(instead of a damp old one) and the occasional low dew points are messing with my hair.
