SpiralSolutions Rock!!
I already posted this on the Product Reviews board but wanted to mention it here, too. These products are awesome!! I tried some of runnerchicki's SpiralSolutions products today. I washed with No-Poo, then used the SS Protein Treatment, left in for about 10 minutes, rinsed & followed with SS Decadent Moisture conditoner. Rinsed out and applied CJCA LI, added a little more water and scrunched in a mixture of SS Curl Jelly & the SS Firm Hold Gel. Scrunched out excess water with CLU towel, diffused for 10 minutes and air dried rest of the way. I LOVE these products!! My curl started springing up before I even started diffusing!! This stuff rocks!! Way to go, runnerchicki!!

Wow! Your hair looks amazing!! I am patiently waiting until she gets more stock in her shop, she said it will be next week; I am going to put my order in! I love that her products' ingredients are very unique and sounds like the consistency is exactly what I am looking for! Can't wait to give them a try! Thanks for posting your review and pic!!

I read one too many good reviews of the protein treatment today. I just ordered it. Sigh, why do I bother telling myself I won't get the products that are being recommended?

I had a chance to sample both the PT and the DT. I have been waiting all week for them to come back in stock (at a time when I'm actually AT my computer) and finally snagged both

Even though I am really happy with my new CJ stuff, and I still have to try the 3 KC products I got, and I ordered BB's gelee and brulee this week, I really have wanted to try the protein treatment and condish from SS. However, the two times I've gone there, stuff is sold out.
Kinda frustrating, but I understand it's a growing, new enterprise.
Ah, well. Someday.

The mixture of the jelly & the hard hold gel seemed to give me the perfect amount of hold. The crunch wasn't bad, either, due, I'm sure, to the DT and the LI I used.

The PT is one of my fave PT's ever. It really is amazing. I'm waiting until the moisture spritz is in stock to order more stuff.

I need to try the protein treatment when she gets it back in stock. I did try the jelly today and really liked it. I'm gonna try a different combo of products tomorrow to see if I can combat the frizz I had. It's really humid and rainy here, so no wonder I had some halo frizz.

I think she's really trying hard to up her production. Doesn't want to disappoint all of us "curly girls!" These products are well worth waiting for!

Do you know if she's considering going full scale with her company?? Obviously it's an investment and you need the capital to do it, but clearly we'd all buy her stuff!

Do you mean manufacturing?? I really don't know, but that's more then an investment--it's REALLY expensive. First you have to work with a lab to get the product recipe right for mega batches; then you have to manufacture in HUGE quantities; after which you have to find a reliable shipper, who charges you by the box and the bottle.
One of the reasons KCCC had such issues when they went into Whole Foods is that she needed a lot of upfront money to produce product at that quantity.
Personally, I think Runner is doing really well for a "store" that's only been open for two weeks. I know no one means to criticize and understands. Think of LLL and their 30 day shipping policy. Or the trials and tribulations of Donna Marie getting products off the ground and now manufactured.
Sorry to guano.

No, I meant more like getting her own website, incorporating, copyrighting, all that jazz. Obviously bigtime manufacturing would be wayyy down the road!

One would think that's what anyone with an Esty Store would hope to accomplish. I think that's way down the line. I think Marsha was in business for two years before she started the CJ website.

Mmk, just wondering if she was planning to keep this as a side thing or if she had big plans. I didn't know that about CJ! Did she run an etsy sort of thing too??

I know she takes this VERY seriously and has spent a lot of time developing her products. She's given a lot of thoughtful consideration as to going about this--but that's as much as I know.
I don't know about Marsha. When I first joined nc.com a little over two years ago, I bought CJ from CurlMart. I want to say her website started about 12/08--but could be wrong. Here's the link to her story on the CJ website: http://www.curljunkie.com/aboutus.asp
ETA: I was wrong. Marsha had her website all along. There was a time that she did wholesale, but it was available again to all of us in 12/08.
