cleansing conditioners vs. cleansing creams?

Anyone have any thoughts on the effectiveness of cleansing conditioners (like CJ Daily Fix) compared to gentle cleansing shampoos (like Jessicurl's Hair Cleansing Cream or SpiralSolutions Gentle Cleansing Cream)?

Bump? Preferences for cleansing conditioners versus gentle cleansing shampoos?

I don't really have a preference..I sort of think of them more by ingredient and action on my hair.

I think it's really about how they want to market the product. To me as long as it cleans I'm good.

I find the Jessicurl HCC and the Bellacurls cleansing creme to be sort of similar--very good cleansing but probably not going to get out oils for me (I mean pre poo oils that I sometimes like to use on my scalp). CJ Daily Fix is more cleansing to get them out IMHO.

The Spiral Solutions one seemed more like a cross with a shampoo--it's one of my favorites and I can't wait until it comes out..I loved it.

I base what I use on what my hair is doing--since again I don't think there are any sort of rules for how you label the stuff--seems like a shampoo or some sort (low poo or not) tends to foam a little bit at least and the cleansing creme's/conditioners don't. But I've had low poo's not clean as well as the CJ Daily Fix.

I will say that I really like the ones that are sort of conditioner like as I often then don't need a rinse out (the case with Bellacurls and with the CJ Daily Fix and Deva No Poo).

Not sure that's helped.

I was hoping you'd weigh in, AJJ! It's so interesting that the CJ DF actually cleans better than a cleanser. I'm glad to hear your experience.

I prefer cleansing conditioners, simply because they leave my hair soft, and I usually don't need a rinse out afterward. I like a simple routine, and they just work out better for me.

I low-poo or use a sulfate poo every 2-3 weeks, just to make sure my hair is free of buildup.
