Okay, I'm almost there! Here are before and after cut pics. About 3-4 inches were cut off. I just couldn't let the stylist cut it to shoulder length to get rid of all the old color, but the next cut should do it! Dk purple is before, lt purple is after.

It's been almost two years! My goal was to have all natural color by my 50th birthday, which is at the end of this year. Thanks for all your kind words, curly gray heads!

I have to agree with everyone else - your hair looks terrific! (And I love the cut, too - my hair is only between chin and shoulder length, but I'd love to have your length and style at some point!)

For those considering going gray, or to those in the midst of growing out old color - hang in there! It is so worth the wait! Benefits - healthier hair, maximum curl, flattering natural color suited to your age, increased confidence and contentment.

(rbb, if my hair continues to gray as beautifully as yours, I'll be pleased! In younger years my hair was dark brown with a tinge of red in the sun.)

Here is my hair today after "oil shampooing" with generic shampoo and a little coconut oil, then ACV rinse.I used no conditioner, leave in, gel or anything else. I sat under my bonnet dryer and barely finger styled it.
I used to only achieve this sort of smoothness by using hot rollers.

Wow - I can't believe you have no leave-in or stylers on that hair! That is totally my dream - minimal product, maximum gorgeousness. Love it!

It feels good too.
I'd love to see how anyone else's hair turns out using
this method!

The last time I did "naked" hair was in October when I was preparing my hair to pull samples for my hair analysis. I decided to cleanse it and use a RO conditioner, but I didn't use any LI or stylers because I wanted my strands to have as little product on them as possible. It wasn't pretty! I had curl underneath, which I pretty much always have, and massive frizz on top. Ick! Now, that *was* 4 months ago, so maybe my hair is in better shape and wouldn't be as bad, but I'm scared to find out!

I haven't used this little product on my hair in years!
Second day I just dampened my hands and pushed it into shape.
I'd say give it a try some lazy day, at least you'd have time for a do over if you don't like it.

Gorgeous photos, Everyone!! I'm gathering courage to finally do this. I haven't colored since late December, so really only have about 1" of virgin color going on. Thank you for your inspiration, Ladies!
