well trying different things isnt for everyone, and several ppl including me have researched this. The specific chemical is used for all over skin fungus(even on the scalp). So i know every1s opinion is welcome here, but sometimes "just saying" can be unnecessary.....but I'm just saying

Okay. I'm checking back in. It's been another 2 weeks and another 1/2" of growth. Believe it or not. My hair was on my shoulder just a minute ago and now it's on my collar bone.... no joke. I have 7" of hair now. I started with 5" 2 months ago on Nov 2nd, 2010. I will continue to use it along with my Biotin vitamins. Loving the results and no side effects. I will check back within 2 weeks to see if the growth continues. The first tube lasted me 6 weeks. The tube I'm using now is smaller but it should last me the month. I use about a 1" strip daily for about 5 days out of 7.

I wash my hair twice week and if I'm going to wash it then I'll put it on right after I condition, before my gel...Doesn't affect my hair at all. If anything, it makes it soft and supple : ) I aim for the scalp but if it hits the hair there's no problem at all. hope that helps. I'll be measuring my hair again in a couple of days and the truth is that I already have and I was 1/4" away from 7" last week so I should be at my 7" by Jan. 2nd. this is so exciting.
CSI,
how would you describe your hair? what is your hair type?
Thanks in advance!

I'm just wondering if ANYONE here has consulted with their physician or at the VERY LEAST their hair stylist prior to using something FDA approved only for the treatment of yeast infections in your VAGINA on your scalp (where you can inhale any fumes that might permeate into your lungs and ultimately your brain). Heres some trivia ladies: itching is a form of pain. And pain is your body's way of telling you something is WRONG. And headaches? Pain.

I'm honestly NOT judging, rather I'm worried for you all who are doing this without first seeking the advice of a professional. I don't know about you, but for me, NOTHING, not beauty, not money...NOTHING is more important to me than my health and the intelligence provided to me by every one of my brain cells. I'll be damned if I would risk any of that for longer, thicker hair. How about you?

I've recently started reading about this and haven't tried it YET. I most definitely will. I'm a nurse and I am pretty sure the reason this is working for so many women is the fact that MN is an anti fungal. It is used on patients who have oral thrush (yeast infection in the mouth) caused by immunosuppresant medications. This is often used in babies and young kids. If this ingredient is safe for a child to swallow, I doubt that it can have any harm on our scalp. I will definitely buy some and try starting this weekend and hope I get the great growth some others have gotten.

Don't know why I didn't read this until now. I watched a few YouTube vids too...I will be getting some to try today. I also have some dandruff and a patch of psoriasis too...so maybe it will help for that

Back on Cones,so now my routine is,wash with Deva No-Poo every other day or so. Occasionally use 365 sulfate free, maybe use low sulfate shampoo mixed with conditioner once every two weeks are longer. I condition with Aussie Moist or HEHH. I style with a little GF TN,and finish up with tons of GN Pure Clean Smoothing Cream. No frizz...slippy, happy hair.

I used it for a hot minute. But I stopped. I think I am going to use it without diluting or maybe with a little water. I mixed it with doo gro oil. Which was dumb for me because the oil by itself makes my scalp itch. I cut two inches off my hair and I want to eventually cut two more. So I'll start this back up and if I see an inch of growth, I'll cut an itch!

So I understand putting some in a bottle and diluting with water...someone I saw on utube said they mixed with olive oil..what do I think about that...or maybe some essential oil?

That would probably be good. I know some use it with other oils that they just like on their scalp. I also heard for those who get headaches diluting with only oil keeps them from getting headaches.
I had a little water in my mix. I never had headaches. Just itchy from the oil.

Ok....put it on hours ago...no headaches...and a little itching. I mixed some mn with a little tea tree oil, some rosemary sage and lemongrass oils...along with warm water. I'll wash it out tomorrow morning and maybe reapply....do excited. I did have parts in the front that were thinning...I guess this might help with that too!!
