Wow, I just read this post by me in April of 2011. My hair is now just past waist/almost hip length curly, and tailbone length when I stretch it out. I'm getting close to a length where I want to maintain, but now I just can't bring myself to cut any length off.

I'm aiming for waist length with my 2a waves. I'm currently at BSL. planning to get a trim right before christmas..

HAIR TYPE -2a-b, black, mostly medium
CO WASH, RO-HE HH and ENLEVEN and GARNIER RANGE
CLARIFY- I use sulphate shampoos silicone free(diluted), vinegar rinses
DC-pure coconut oil, olive oil, sometimes a SMT
LI-aloe vera gel + castor oil
I'm currently at BSL, aiming for waist length.I'm a very impatient person, wish me luck 
I love my flat iron, but I love my waves even more. :-D

Oh, that's not my hair, I wish it was though. That's just the length of hair I want. My hair is dark brown almost black and it's only shoulder length.

Ahh, I'm so jealous  my hair is creeping past BSL, but it will probably be another year before I hit WL.

My favorite brands are Curl Junkie, Darcy's Botanicals, As I Am, Curly Kinks and Shea Moisture. Also love sealing with oil and styling with jelly products.

Your hair isnt very porous, right?Because it hangs very nice. Did it hang this nice when you had short hair as well?

I'm a little past BSL now! I have about 5 more inches to go till waist length. I'll probably be there in a year to a year in a half.

Totally in. January 14th 2012 I chopped off literally all my hair I was always natural I just wanted a new look. Anyway nearly a year later its nearly bra strap length. I know it'll be waist length because that's where it was before I cut it.

This thread seems like it's been dead for a while but I figured I'd post pics anyway since I managed to accomplish my goal on time 
This pics are 3 months old, back when I got my hair straightened by Dominicans in NY (my hair got frizzy fast from the Florida humidity over Christmas break tho). From the last time I posted it had taken me about 16 months to get from APL to WL. Now I just wish it still looked that long when it was curly lol
Anyway any ladies still out there on the waist length bandwagon?

Im still trying to get to waist length. My hair has stalled however. Im trying to figure out how to jumpstart my growth. Im still hoping to claim it by the end of the year.

I'm going for waist length--flat ironed--and I hope to reach that goal in the next year to eighteen months. I should be able to since I'm focusing on my protein/moisture balance and length retention now. The attached pic was taken 3/2/13, I think. I have a high waist (and I'm just realizing this lol so it shouldn't take too long for me to reach my goal.

I'm in ! Maybe a lil late .. lol but I'm doing a #NoCutsNoHeat2013 that has made my hair gro a ton with out heat and cuts ! This is the progress so far !

I am getting close to my goal! I got my hair straightened last week and here is my progress!

Your hair is GORGEOUS! It will take forever for my curls to reach that length  But i don't want to be no more than Hip Length straightened bc its so much hair!
