Soooo close....

Anyone want to join me?
Hip is my ultimate goal but waist is shortterm.
I'm in!(:

I've been wanting waist length hair for so long but right now I'm at BSL. I just got a trim to keep it healthy and I'm hoping to get to waist length before the summer. Good luck

WOW... how your hair has grown, Speckla! It's beautiful!
(I like your new avatar, too.)

Yeah, waist-length might be nice.... it'll take years, though! (However, I just discovered a couple of days ago that my 3C/4A curls are now long enough to bun. WOOHOO! )

So... OK... I'll try. But we'll need lots of TLC and patience. (Check back in about three years.)

I'm deffinitely in. I'm at BSL and have layers growing out. I'll have my next trim in March to just the bottom layer to bring it up a bit then not another trim til September.
Definitely!

I was actually there earlier this year but my hair wasn't the best towards the ends due to lack of trimming and mistreatment on my part. So I got a big portion of it cut off earlier this summer and I'm about mid back again!

But the return to waist length is definitely the goal! Just with a healthier outlook!

yess! me I am getting there slowly but surley. I suspect my love for hair dye dosent help much though
I am definatly there when my hair is wet and pulled straight so thats about 2 more inches when dry...but I am rather tall and a long torso is really hampering my progress! So frustrating lol.

Your hair is looking great speckla!
Mixture of 2c/3a curls, fine to med texture

PROTEIN LOVER!!!

Wishing my hair would be more like this ------>
and less like this --------->
I'm trying to grow my hair to about my waist as well.
That only problem is that if I don't get my hair thinned and trimmed regularly it ends up in a triangle like shape, where its straight and wavy at the top and goes out into my tight curls at the bottom :/
I'm in! My hair is usually mid back length and I cut my ends in thanksgiving and became bra length. I am growing it out to my waist/hip length so I can be happy! It has always been my dream but I don't take care of it. So I am about to do the research to start a healthy hair regimen.
I'm trying to get it waist length. Its about six months away. I color my hair, I did over color it once. Colored it, stripped it and recolored in a very short period. I'm taking care of it and it seems fine now. I'm just not sure what's gonna happen when I recolor again. If all goes well, it'll just keep growing.
Pre-shampoo- Vatika Coconut Hair Oil
Deep Conditioner- Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose
Conditioner AOHR
Frizz Control- Aphogee Moisturizing Oil Sheen
Protein Treatment- Aphogee Keratin 2 Minute Reconstructor
Hair type 2c
Goal long, bright red, soft hair!
I'm in! I'm currently waist WL when my hair is straight but my hair had this horrible habit of shrinking to my shoulders. All my hard work growing it healthy and long and the length doesn't even show, it makes me want to cry. I think I'll have waist length curls in 10 years if this crazy shrinking continues, but it won't because I'm working on loosening my curls with BKTs. I was asl for 100% material hair for a long time but I can't deal with the shrinking anymore!
3c/4a
WL (25") straightened
APL curly

Teri Laflesh's book "Curly Like Me" sits on my desk and everytime I get frustrated and an impulse tells me to shave my head, I look at it in hopes that one day my hair will graze the top of my butt.

My ultimate goal was waist length, but I switch to tailbone length. Might as well go balls to the wall right? I have a long way to go though. I'm only 14 months in on my HHJ!

It's amazing how important it is for some women (meaning me ) to have super long hair to feel beautiful, while some women feel perfectly comfortable cutting it all off.

I feel so much more feminine with long hair and am absolutely traumatized when its any shorter than BSL. I wonder why...
I'm going to classic, but I'm at BSL wet now so there's a looooooooong way to go. Waist is my goal by the time I graduate college (May 2012). One step at a time, right?
Proudly CG since 8/10/06 - the story of my hair!
Type: 3a/b, very thick

Don't forget to be awesome!
I'm at APL and I'm aiming for waist! Happy Growing!

I AM!!! I was waist length til my trim, now I'm bsl with ugly layers, but I have seen my hair grow very quickly this last month.. no split ends in sight, nice healthy hair, I use coconut oil every time i wash my hair, prenatal vitamins, drink 2lt of lemon water everyday and take vitamin e capsule everyday, not to mention high protein foods and high omega 3 foods.. fruits and veges, mainly peaches, carrots, tomatos ans lemons..

I find that eating healthier made a HUGE difference with hair growth.. my nails grow v quickly too.. good luck..
Totally Loving My New Hair!

I would love to have waist length hair while it's curly...but I don't know. My hair is currently waist length straight and only just past my shoulders curly (darn you, shrinkage!). So to have it that long curly, I can't even imagine how long it would be straight.
My hair is:

- 3b/3c/probably some 4a up in there too.
- natural since birth
- almost hip length when flat ironed, BSL when curly.
- a great lover of water. lol

I am a product junkie and I'm not going to rehab!
I'm at waist when I pull my curls out, but it springs right back up to bra length. I'm aiming for tailbone so that it will be waist when it's curly.

Hi! Hopefully I'll be waist length by December 2011... I've been drinking some natural pills called Esselence Classics for hair, at first I thought they didn't work but after 2 weeks drinking them they really work!!! My hair is more shinny and soft and it looks longer!

I want long hair sooo bad. I relaxed my hair for the first time 4 years ago (on top of that I dyed my hair really light and got high lights!!! Yikes) I had no idea what I was doing to my hair. Subsequenlty I HAD to chop my 3c tight curls off to my ears (curly- when flat ironed it was to chin.) Here I am 4 yrs later, and my hair is barely above my bra strap curly. That being said, I still wasn't taking proper care of my curls. I am going to start taking care of my beautiful curls, so that they can grow long- God willing! I pray that my growth cut off point is not my bra strap!!!!
