Default Has anyone tried sulphur for hair growth?

Hey ladies,
I was sondering if there is anyone on here that has used sulphur for their hair growth? I was reading about the sublimed sulphur powder, it was pretty cheap so i purchased some online. I now have this powder and I mixed it with some grapeseed oil and i have it in this bottle. BUT........

girls, I'm scared. My hair is so healthy right now and i don't want some stupid ugre for growht to mess me all up. I would be super heated if i damaged my hiar or scalp.

So if there are any of you out there on the board that have tried this or are using this right now and you could let me know how you are using it and how it works, has worked, or is working for you I would totally appreciate it. Until then, I will not be trying this out in my hair. I need more reviews on this method because there are not too many out there.
thanks, i'm looking forward to hearing any feedback that anyone may have.

I've been taking MSM capsules (1000 mg once per day in morning) for almost 3 months now. MSM, or methylsulfonylmethane, is a natural sulfur compound. It supposedly helps to reduce shedding by helping to prolong the "resting" phase of the hair follicle.

I definitely have reduced shedding. My hair is thin and fine on it's own. I feel like my hair is healthier and maybe slightly thicker since taking MSM. To boot, I have had layers cut into my hair twice since November, which should make me feel like I have less hair, but it actually feels a bit thicker now.

I bought another bottle and plan to stick with it since I've been happy with the first almost-90 days. I have had a few more breakouts than in the past, but I've been experimenting with retin-a, moisturizers and makeup during this time so I am not blaming the MSM for my breakouts, but not ruling it out yet either.

@spiralli....
thanks so much for posting a reply, but I am specifically needing to know about topical use. I saw some posts around the internet about it and now nothing. I dont know if it worked for people or not. I bought this stuff, being the PJ that I am, and now i wont use it because i just am not willing to risk my hairs' health.

I've never heard of sulfur for topical use but I am not a PJ. I hope you find the info you are wanting.

I'm NOT suggesting it because
it's full of bad stuff BUT there
are some natural brands I think
with msm so I'd search around.

I used sublimed sulfur for about 5 months...the sulfur began to dry my hair out at the roots a LOT (to the point where it changed my texture) and I experienced some breakage. Not a major setback, but enough for me to quit using it.

O.k. See I'm a wimp so I guess I will just have to charge off that $7 because if I destroy my slow growing hair I will be ready to hurt someone. I shaved my head clean in July and right now at the end of March all I have is about 2-3 inches of hair. I love every coil on my head but I sure do wish it would grow quicker.

Elle, did you notice any growth ?? I'm thinking maybe if I don't use it for such a long period of time. Oh yeah and what did you mix it with and how did you apply it? Tia.

Not really, my hair grows fairly quickly anyway. If anything, MAYBE .25 inches more. My hair seems to be growing faster since I stopped using it though. I used Sulu (premixed) and the Bee Mine Growth Serum. I'm off topical growth aides for good and am focusing on nutrition.
