So I straightened my hair for graduation and was finally able to measure it. It's about 16 inches in the back and around 17-18 inches in the front (it's so weird how may hair grows at different rates lol). Overall that puts me at MBL so adding 6 inches shud definitely put me at WSL which is my ultimate goal. Mermaid hair here I come

I'm in!
Did a bob cut last year (basically chopped off the back of my hair to to mid neck length ( ended up with a triangle fro) and now I'm trying to grow it out.
I'm a little scissor happy & my staple style has been a wash'n'go for a long time which eventually took its toll on my hair.
Last year it got incredibly dry, frizzy, hard to manage and I didn't retain any length.
Its now the road to recovery as I've been taking extra good care of it for the past 3 months, so my challenge will be a continuation of what I've been doing until the end of the year:
Regime:
*Wash (non sulphate shampoo) & DT every Friday
*A low heat blowdry or banding to stretch.
*Protective styling for at least 3wks a month
*Moisturize ends with Shea Butter mix every other day
Rules
*No cutting/ trimming.
*No wash'n'gos
I spent most of Saturday afternoon putting micro twists in my hair & plan to keep these in for a minimum of 2wks... or as long as they stay neat.
HHG to everyone!

I'm awful at measuring/documenting. I joined this challenge 2 months ago I believe? I feel like its grown a little...maybe just an inch. When I started this challenge I know my hair was just barely brushing over my shoulders. I fell away from the GNC Hair Skin and Nails vitamins for a while but Ive picked it back up and plan to stick with it. I'm going to try protective styling too, I play with my hair too much. The amount of breakage I have in the shower is sad...
Official goal: Armpit Length when Dry (2-3 more inches)
Time: March 2012, when the military returns my boyfriend to me
Heres some not-so-photogenic picture updates! my hair from a little under 2 months ago and tonight.

I want to join in on this challenge!!! I'm transitioning and want to get my natural hair 6inches longer.
I've been taking the Hair, Skin & Nails supplements and I'm going to try to drink more water and oil my scalp more. Lets see how this goes. August 25, 2011- August 25, 2012

Count me in, too. xD
I'm planning to grow it out for ONE YEAR.
I wish I didn't have to cut it so short, but I had no choice after my last bad hair meltdown. >_<

Dusted my ends today. Took about 1/4 of an inch off. Will do length check next month. Doing more DCs. Still taking supplements. I need to oil my scalp and seal my ends more. That's what I'm trying to improve on currently.

I think I'm a little late, but can I join this challenge?
I have never measured my hair, and as I am supposed to be working right now, I don't think I should do this now...I will upload a picture of my hair stretched later.
Currently when my hair is curly, it is shoulder length-ish - I always make it stick up and big, so its hard to tell. When blow-dried straight, it is bra strap length.
I would like to grow it another 6 inches before this challenge ends in June 2012 (I think). I hear JB Castor Oil is good for hair growth - gonna give this a go soon...will purchase on payday!
Good luck people!!

I'd love to join this challenge! My hair is almost apl in the back and almost comes down to my chin in the front. So, I'd say about 7 in average. I'm shooting for 13 inches or bsl by this time next year.
My Regimen:
Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Shampoo
Suave Conditioner
Cantu Leave in Conditioner
Aloe Vera Oil

Hello ladies, just checking in!
1. August 13th after wash; hair was almost dry and with ytcu in it
2. August 17th-lightly straightened my bang area
3. August 21st- a braidout after I'd used semi-permanent pink (had to get rid of it because my roots kept showing too quick)
4. August 24th after wash; hair had ytcu in it
5. September 2nd -day after straightening hair, unwrapped my hair and shook my head = wild style! <3 I hennaed btw
Hope that wasn't too much!
