Growing out my pixie

I was a regular on this board for a long time, but it's been years since I've posted. I cut all of my hair off in early 2009 and have kept it short ever since. I don't particularly love it short, I just hate growing it out. Ugh. Let's see how long I make it. I'd really love to have my long hair back again.

It's pixie length right now, so it is going to take a while. I have some old Jessicurl Stimulating Scalp Massage Oil, maybe I'll break that out again. I am getting my hair colored back to natural today to help aid in the growing-out process.

Fingers crossed. Wish me luck.

Any other tips?

i just decided to grow my pixie too. scarves and headbands while the sides grow, and lots of vitamins. i have been growing for 3 weeks only but have noticed some growth.i think as soon as i get about 2 inches i may be able to start tucking sides behind my ears and ditch the headbands. i hope. this is going to be a long winter.good luck
Growing a pixie out is horrible, I've finally got my hair to my chin so now it will be smooth sailing from here. It took a while to get to this length cause I'd get frustrated once it started trying to curl cause it would just flip out cause it didn't have enough length yet to make full ringlets. The only tips I can give is headbands and bobby pins and hats will be your best friend, they were mine. Anyway i hope you all are able to grow your pixies out!
I am growing out my pixie too. Last year I cut off all of my below the bra length hair. I am so mad at myself because I have been cutting it since and finally now have decided to grow it out. I feel like the dutch boy if I straighten it and I feel like dippy with it curly but it looks way better curly. Good luck to all you other curly girls growing out your pixies.
Out of morbid curiosity, I decided to get my hair cut last week just to see how much gray I really have. Not bummed about the gray, but bummed about the cut. The back is really closely cropped. Ughh... WHAT will make it grow any faster?
I'm growing out a curly pixie too!
I've been growing it for three months now, and its soo frustrating. I'm not patient at all! haha.
I was thinking of having a grow out buddy if anybody's interested?
I don't want to grow it long, just to the bottom of my ears, so hopefully it wont be too much torture!
any tips are appreciated
scarves and headbands. if u do that it hides the awkward stages and helps the journey not be so painful. ive been growing out my pixie for 2 years. i get to a certain point and cut it back off. my problem is i like short hair, but want long? it doesnt make any sense i know but thats where i am at. so i have , for the 4th time, got my hair to almost the end of my ears. i have ditched the headbands and scarves and tuck behind the ears till the sides catch up to back. hopefully i can keep on growing and do not decide short again. good luck
