Hair ties, clips or scrunchies?
Im growing out my hair, and i like to bun it to keep me from playing with it and causing more friction and damage, I hear bunning hair is good if you want to grow it out, the only problem is I don't know what type of hair accessories to keep my bun up..
I use metal free hair ties but find they're very tight unless I stretch them out first but what is the best type to use out of the above ..

I use scrunchies a lot. I only use ties when I really need my hair to stay in a bun but otherwise I'll use a scrunchy. Big clips are really good for protection, I think, but I can't use them yet because my hair it to short.
Well, that's been my experience.

Lately I've been using hairsticks, flexi-8s and ficcares which I love. I know, my PJism now extends to hair toys but I do find that not only do they hold hair very well but prevent hair from ripping when taking them off or putting them in.

Thanks for replying.. I just got myself a large octopus clip but find my layers (bangs) around my face always come out and never seem to get good hold especially when I'm doing household activities and when I'm at work so I think I'll need a bit more support I suppose from a scrunchie..
I'm also going to get my hair cut soon, the hairdresser before did a horrible job cutting it and it looks ratty at the tips so I'm just going to chop that big chunk out and grow out a decent hair cut from a decent hairdresser .. it'd be mid back to almost waist to just under bsl ..

Spin pins. otherwise I use scrunchies and when I had side swept bangs I used those little snap clip barrette things to keep them out of the way. I would love to try the hair toys mentioned (flexi-8's, etc) but no money for any of that at the moment.

I use big claw clips and scrunchies at night. I think those are the least harmful to the hair. I use those sticks for my buns and updos.
