Apologies for the semi nakedness ^^ (hair semi dry just beyond bsl, slightly more recoil when fully dry.

Hair stretched out, almost waist length, goal to have curls that long.

Goodluck everyone!

... really seeking an edgy indie style cut that suits my hair type, but wont make the move till I'm sure its right for me as I have been growing my hair to this point for so long

@BellaCaramella Your hair is GORGEOUS!!! My hair looks somewhat similar except a lot shorter. You mentioned your longest layer is waist length stretched so you just affirmed my goal.

Rocking' some two strand twists as a protective style. It's too cold for wash n go's. I need some flexirods or something for the front.

I just started using the CG method. Before that I was blowdrying and straightening or wearing a ponytail. Which was tough on my hair. I hope to grow my curls to arm pit length to start with and see how I like it. I'll probably start taking vitamins soon.

Thanks TriMixDiva!!! I know what you mean about the straight pieces in the front. I was tempted to cut mine, but if I don't put a lot of product and scrunch that part I can get a little curl action out of it. I like your loosened curl pattern it's pretty and your hair color too! I wish mine would hang like that. I feel like my hair has been shoulder length for FOREVER.

I've never had curly extensions before, but now you have me intrigued lol. Are they like a sew-in, How do you install them?

Yes You could sew them in track by track or braid up half/or all of your hair and sew them in, or you could even sew the hair tracks onto clips and make your own clip in extensions. I'm looking at inhairco.com, the kinky curly looks like it would suit me/us best

Thank you I like the elongation too but I know it's lies lol. I've been so bad with the scissors and just cutting any pieces that even look at me wrong lol Now I need to stop!

I noticed your last couple of posts you kept cutting more and more lol. But If it was damaged it would need to come off eventually.

Actually the only extensions I have ever worn were braids, and that was years ago. Two women were braiding my hair and it still took 10 hours!!! Not trying to go that route again lol. If I were to wear the kinky curly I think I would just sew it in the bottom half for length. And I would have to find somebody to install it. Do you do your own?

So ladies I'm going to be doing box braids as a protective style and keep myself from cutting. I ordered my hair from hairsisters.com and will post pics when I'm done.

I had to straighten my hair yesterday since I had to go somewhere. Thought this was the perfect opportunity to take an update pic

I joined a different length challenge, but my goal was waist length, so I figured I might as well post here!
Who's gonna start the 2012 waist length callenge ;-)-mms_picture_2.jpg
This picture was taken on the 5th, so it's been about 2 weeks. I'm solidly BSL, so I have a good 4 or 5 inches to go, and, depending on if my hair curls up more or straightens out more with the added length, I'll be there by the end of the year!! (Hopefully).
