I use Desert Essence 100% Pure Jojoba Oil. I don't know if it helps, but that's the oil I use to help out my 2nd day hair, so it's what I have and that's what I use. I put a bit on my fingertips when I massage my scalp.

Has anyone tried amala oil..They sell it on fromnaturewithlove.com. I read on another hair board that this oil is supposed to help with hair growth.

One of my friends sent me some info on an oil that is supposed to be good for hair growht. I will find it an post the info.

My sister is making her own potion. She is trying it out now..I know she got the ingredients fromnaturewithlove.com. Will let you know about her hair growth.

About 2-3 times a week, I use Jessicurl Scalp Stimulating oil. I massage it on my scalp for about 5-10 min. Usually, I hang off of my bed upsidown. (Apparently, the gravity helps the hair grow. I don't really know if it works, but it's still fun ) Then, I put some of the oil on my ends and put my hair in a bun. I sleep on it, and just co-wash or shampoo (sulfate free) in the morning. Sometimes, I use a boar bristle brush to help spread the oil before I put it in a bun, but I only make a few brushes.

Also, I use jojoba and coconut on the ends.

Currently: Trying to stop straightening so much. Using Elucence conditioner and whatever works for me.

For a w hile I've been looking into Scalp Massages using stimulating hair oils. What makes me unsure if it's the best idea for me is the fact that it clogs the hair follicle pores. I am concerned that although this promotes hair growth, it may block my pores and may retard my hair growth.
Anyone here have an opinion on weighing the two?

I don't oil my scalp. First of all, my scalp is too oily already, and second, I worry about clogging the follicles.

Neither do I. My scalp isn't oily, but it's not dry, and I read that coconut oil (which I use on my hair) clogs the scalp.
