Default HELP!

Hey guys,

I'M ON A MISSION. I have been trying to grow my hair for so long for as long as I remember. Whenever I feel like I make some progress, I go for a trim ( which I do about every 7 weeks), and then I'm right back where I started!!! I'm assuming this means that my ends are not healthy enough since I always end up back at the same place. Does anyone have ANY advice for me? Any advice on having healthy ends? I'll try anything at this point.

Thank you so much in advance!

maybe you need to seal the ends with an oil or butter and wear your hair in protective styles. and maybe you dont need to trim every 7 weeks? try to go longer between trims.

I'm currently growing my hair out. The last time I decided to grow my hair out was when I was 13. It started out as just skimming my shoulders, and by the time I was 15 or 16, it was one inch above waist length. What worked for me which I am doing again is no trims. Trims aren't really necessary as often as every month say if you protect your ends really well with an oil and brush gently. A two inch trim will set the average person back by four months.

This rule about trims should help, too: always make sure you take two steps forward before one step back. That means your hair growth should be at least double, preferably more, than what you trim so you'll be making progress.

Happy growing.
