I'd LOVE to make it to waist (or better yet, classic) length! But I recently got a trim and layers so I have a good ways to go. I'm rocking mini braids right now, to help with retaining length!

My hair:
2b wavy, medium texture, low porosity, med-high density. Protein finicky.
My routine:
Cleansing: DCNP, every 4-5 days (occasionally use CJ cleansers).
RO: CJSC, occasionally use JCDC
LI: KCKT or CJSL
Gel: KCCC, CJCIAB for 2nd day hair (sometimes third)
Heat is my friend: warm water rinses, steam caps, and diffuse dry. I love CLU cloths and my Denman.

I just flat ironed my hair and I think I'm mbl right now in the back. My hair has natural layers and I don't plan on evening my hair out. It would be nice to make it to wl in a year. In the front I'm past apl and id like to get under my breasts but they're huge so idk when that's gonna happen.

Nooo, My hair is WAY too thick and heavy to add extentions, the last thing I want to do is add MORE hair. I wouldn't be able to keep my head up while cowashing! I'm going to rock braided updo styles to keep things protected. It's 30 degrees right now and I live in California!

So yesterday, I got an black to light brown Ombre done at the beauty college in my town. It looks pretty nice and I'm happy with the results. I'll post a pic tonight.

I live in cali and it getting cold but not 30 degrees thats close to if not snow weather. What part of cali do u stay? And about buns and updos i get soo cold with those styles there is no hair covering my ears and face. This is the perfect weather for braids extension but dont know if i wanna risk my delicate edges.

I'm in for the challenge. I'm aiming for waist length by next December. I can't do too much buns and braids either. I like to feel my mane on my back
My hair grows out fast but I started taking a calcium supplement and started doing the castor oil scalp massage every week to speed up things a little.

Somehow I've reached it waist length.. :/ My coworker was stretching and messing with my curls last night and he pulled the bottom down and i felt it hit my waist, and we looked and triple checked and it is legit on my waist. So i guess i made the 2012 challenge but i want to be a couple inches past that while straight and i wanna be below boob length while curly. So I'm still keeping this going and have new goals.

congrats! I wish i can do that.
I am going to incorporate amla,henna,and brahmi powder treatment to my hair regimen i know thats gonna make a difference in my achieving my goal.

Maybe I could make it to waistlength by 2013? I don't know about TRUE waistlength.

I'm pretty much BSL...longest layer, so probably another year until waistlength, unless I get some type of crazy growth this year. I did find "amino acid" juice at a store near me, maybe I'll start picking that up and see if it makes a difference.
