SimplyT nice job on those braids. I did 2 strand twists last week and was forced to take them down the other day... saw my love and we were going out. But im doing low maintenance. Probably wont henna for another week when its time for my wash day.

I did mini-twists, I think! I mean, they're not so "mini." I thought they were because I did them on dry hair, then I co-washed and you know how that goes. They expanded and shrunk. I like them though.

PRAY that I can load a picture! This sucks!

So I haven't been doing as many braids and twists as I said I would...mainly because I've been in the house most of the time. I'm still on winter break for another 2 weeks (I'm a first year college student!). Ladies, I'm still tired from the holidays and after my WnGs dry, I throw my hair up in a messy bun with my ends tucked under a silk scrunchie.

I've been focusing on DTs mostly, anyways here is what it looked like today before I baggied.

Thanks and lol I know how its gets. But Low manipulation is still great when my hair was shorter it was actually better for me than protective styling and I just took these down too-only because my hair doesnt do well w/ long term protective styling but im putting them back in over the next 2 days

My hair doesn't do too well with long term protective styling either. My hair will dread up.

But, you know could just re-do the protective style instead of keeping the same one in for a long period of time.

That's exactly what I do. I was just saying..I wish I could get away with wearing the same braids/twists for a week. That would be so convenient.

Ohhh, okay... That's CRAZY that your hair locks up that fast though.

Hi ladies, I'm in. I big chop and trying to grow my twa out. I
Cowash once a week. However I'm trying to switch to once a month to see if I retain more moisture. I was natural for 4 years butt hair is always dry. So now I'm trying different things to see if I retain more moisture by washing monthly instead of weekly. So protective style will be good for me. Will post pics soon
