I've been trying to grow my hair out and get back to my natural hair. I took my hair forgranted when I was little. I used to have tight, thick ringlets all over my head, but now they are really loose. I haven't flat ironed my hair since New Year's Eve (My resolution). I am really hoping to get back to having curlier, longer hair. Also, my hair seems to be stuck at just below shoulder length. Ugh.

I discovered that sulfates were bad for curly hair about 4-5 months ago and have been using sulfate free shampoos. Here is a list of the products I have been using (and experimenting with): Devacurl no-poo, Devacurl one condition, Devacurl styling creme, Devacurl light defining gel(HATE THIS GEL), Devacurl Heaven in Hair, Shea moisture Curl enhancing smoothie, Shea moisture curl and style milk, Shea moisture curl and shine shampoo, Shea moisture curl and shine hold mist, Aussie Moist 3 minute miracle, Tresseme Flawless Curls Mousse.

Please help!

Also be a little careful with Deva and SM products they can build on the hair over time. Make sure to clarify if you ever feel you hair looks and feels weighed down.

I have a few questions:

Do you deep condition? How often?
Do you use protein treatments? How often?
Are your hair strands fine, medium or coarse/thick?
Are you high porosity, normal or low? Hint: if you have colour then you are most likely high porosity.
Do you have high density or low?

Here are explanations if you don't understand what porosity is. You might want to consider including that info when you're asking for generalize help : Curly Hair Tips, Styles & Products - NaturallyCurly
