My story :(

Hi, I'm new here. Just wanted to tell my story and hope some of you will join me in my hair growth challenge. My hair is fine 4a/3c sensitive around my edges. I'm losing my hair thanks to stylist being too rough, not trimming my ends properly and tight cornrows is thinning out my hair. I keep trying new stylist but nobody knows what they are doing and keep damaging my hair. My hair grows but stops because of the damage.

I really want to cry and give up. I am starting to trim my ends and about to do an aphogee treatment 2 step this week to try to repair it. I would like some of you to please join me in a healthy hair growth challenge please. I want to start in April. I will post a pic of my current length and products I will be using, routine etc.

These are pics of my damaged hair below. Thank you for your time.

First off, welcome to the board!

I'm sorry to hear what happened. Many of us can relate to your story about stylists and that's why we choose to take care of our hair ourselves! Hopefully you can get your hair back on track. I would love to join you in your healthy hair journey!

Oh im sory to hear that as well, must be very frustrating, make sure that u treat ur hair very carefuly, i would do light protein treatments and oil treatments for your scalp. I used to have this thing when i would pull my hair out when im stressed.... i managed to really take my edges at the front and at the nape of my neck away. after 5 years my hair still is shorter at the front n neck. it just takes alot of work dont give up.

my hair: 3b, high porosity, high density and coarse hair (i think i finally figured that all out)
my hair loves conditioner only styling!
Oils and my own procuts are my hairs best friend
my hair goal length is bra strap length when curly.
