Default Hair growth rate

So I finally got "scientific" about my hair growth and have measured my hair on the same day for 3 months in a row. True to what I thought, my hair grows exactly 1/2" per month.

I'm not taking supplements at this time, biotin gave me acne. I'm just not heat styling or using any brushes/combs, and deep conditioning 2x per week.

How fast does your hair grow?

Without supps my hair grows super slow.
I cut my bangs area a month ago tomorrow. I just measured and it's grown 1 1/2 inch since then. For me that's an astounding rate. My new growth hairs grow in super super fast.

Oops an 1.5 a month good grief how did I miss that typo?! Sorry!

1.5" in a week! What supplement do you take?

Mine also grow 1/2 inch per month. It doesn't seem to change whether I take supplements or not. Nor does it change if I do anything else to stimulate it. At least it's consistent

My hair grows kind of fast anyway... about 3/4 inch per month, but since I've been taking supps since August it is about 1 inch per month now! ~~jax

sorry about that mistake it's 1.5 inch a month. For me that's phenominal since I can usually go months on end without needing a trim or seeing much growth. My hair is thicker and I get tons of baby hairs now too.

I took until recently the GNC Ultra Nourishair, women's formula. I just started the hair skin and nails for women by GNC. I'm nervous since it doesn't have magnesium and iodine in it but I thought I would give it a try.

I just switched from the UltraNourshHair to the Hair, Skin and Nails formula. We should compare after we've been on it awhile to see what works better for each of us! ~~jax

Is anybody here using Monistat or Neosporin (real question) to make their hair grow?

I'm reading about it on the Long Hair Care Forum http://www.longhaircareforum.com/for...ead.php?t=1209

Mariag002 -- I am halfway thru the thread you posted. I have to say I'm really tempted to try applying the Monistat to my scalp and see how well it works. I HAVE to wash (with conditioner) my hair every day though or it gets really dry and frizzy, so I don't know if it would sit on my scalp long enough to work.

Have you tried it yet?
