I gave it a good trimming

I couldn't handle the triangle head and flat top anymore.
I took scissors to my hair. I left the length all but a half inch but I shortened the layers and made sure I put more in in the back. I seem to always accidentally leave that too long layer wise.

I guess I should be ashamed but I'm not. I'm happy. My hair bounced back up and the top of my hair isn't as flat and I have some volume now.
I'm still growing it but if I get that flat top traingle thing going on again I'll redo the layers at least. It gives me less revolutions on the curl but it's worth it for the body and bounce.

I just thought I would confess

Oooooh, very pretty! The pictures in your fotki were very nice. How long is your hair now? It looks about the same length as mine only with more spring. Maybe we could be hair buddies.

The back is still 6 inches or so past my shoulders. In the front it looks like my hair is shorter though because of the face framing I did. My har was falling into my face and driving me nuts.
That spring is the short layers, oh and it's humid here even on a dry day. Thanks for the springy vote of confidence!

Your hair is looking wonderful Heather Dawn, do you like it better long? I like that color too :D Your hair looks so thick lately, I don't know if it's the pics or it really is but it's got nice volume especially for your length

It looks absolutely gorgeous and shiny, AS USUAL! You are really good with the scissors! I am so challenged in that area that if I tried to cut my own hair, it would look like my dogs and the neighborhood squirrels got together and chewed it off.

 I've done a trim or two that look like a lawn mower with a dull blade ran over it. I tried that CG method of trimming and boy was that not good.

Wow, you did a fabulous job!! Your hair looks awesome!! I'm gonna just have to go get some of those vitamins...your hair inspires me! It looks curlier to me too...it's so shiny and very healthy looking!!

Your hair looks great so pretty and bouncy, job well done!! :D

Thank you!
Yes it's curlier not only in general but now that it's shorter. And man is the individual hairs thick, which is weird for me and not the norm. I'm scared to ever be without the vitamins that my hair will revert!

I wish we'd have some good humid weather so I can have a real curly day and see how the new cut/hair does. I was thin haired last summer and newly off straightening, I'm kind of excited!
I'm sure I won't get hair like yours Hockeymom but I'll take what I can get!

Sometimes a cut is necessary. I had not trimmed mine for 4 months and sorely needed a trim, but was afraid they'd cut too much. I only got a 1/2 inch trimmed - just enough to get those dead ends off. Yes, sometimes we need to do it, even if it sets us back a bit. Your curls look great!
