Default Frustration -- this too shall pass :banghead:

Gotta have heart and patience and the frustration of growing out will be a thing of the past. I've learned this bit of wisdom in the 3 weeks since I've been doing CG.

Hang in there....headbands and more makeup are good for days like that -- look at my face not my hair!!

I hear ya, everyone always says patience, I'm guilty of it myself, but it's hard to have patience for something that can take years to attain, especially with such a passive goal where you really can't do anything but wait it out.

Tell me about it!! I'm guilty of getting to a certain length and then chopping it all off because it's too short to wear up but too long to stay neat!! I'm at a critical turning point with my length now. My longest layers are 7.5" (little longer now 'cause it's been 1 week since I measure...) and the back is probably closer to 2" ...well near the nape of my neck. It's all different lengths because of a growing out bob. My hair was cut so I could wear a straight bob and didnít curl right (bye bye flat ironing and blowing out) and my hair was fried from too much coloring and heat.

I finally got the courage to leave my old stylist that I've been going to for 11 years. He's been great about fixing the damage I've done to my hair and making it straight but they're not good with curlies.
I went a few weeks ago for some advice and got a wash, condition, and DHT but when my hair was dripping wet the lady asked if I wanted it blow dried. I said, no, I'm not putting heat to my hair anymore. She said, are you sure? I said, well, do you have a diffuser so it can dry curl? She said, no, we don't. We don't usually have people coming in wanting curlier hair. Do you at least want to towel dry and add some mousse? I said no thank you but do you have a wide tooth comb? All she had was a pick. So I left with water dripping down the back of my neck and my pride intact... lol! I hate leaving this salon because they're so nice but straightening is their specialty. He gave my son his first cut and I'll continue to take him there because he cuts my son's hair to remove most of the curl (my son doesn't like his hair to curl) and it looks nice on him.

I went to JC Penny's and requested a stylist that has naturally curly hair and works with curlies. I got some nice layers going on now and can't believe the amount of curl!!! I was also told, "No more color unless you just touch up the roots to match the ends." My hair cannot take any more chemicals or it will break off even more and look horrible. I'm just gonna be patience and grow out this red.

Ok, enough rambling.
