Do you take your UN with a multivitamin and/or other supplements? I've read the ingredients, and I could almost substitute it for my multivitamin, but it doesn't have any calcium. Do you think that taking UN and a multi would be vitamin overload? I'm hesitant to take anything with biotin again because the two times I've tried it (I used biotin by itself, and the other time it was within a hair supplement), I missed my periods for 2 months in a row after I started it. I'm tryin to make myself believe it was a coincidence since it's not too uncommon for me to miss one once in awhile, but I don't know.

I cut my hair above my shoulders last month, and though I'm kinda liking it now, I want my hair at least to my shoulders (I'd like to have it there by Christmas, too!). I've heard a lot of good things about UN - just have a couple of questions - do you take it alone, or with other things? Does it give you nausea? I have a tendency to get nauseaous easily with vitamins, though I took a Hair, Skin, and Nails vitamin that didn't bother me at all as long as I ate it with a meal. I currently take a women's multi with a fish oil capsule. What do you think about adding UN to this - should I nix the other stuff? How much growth are you getting per month? I know some peeps said they got 1 in./month - are you still averaging that much? Thanks!

I use it! I stopped taking my multi-vitamin since it looks pretty complete. I do take Viactiv for calcium, though. So far, I think it's working. My nails seem much stronger so it must be doing something.

You can say what you want about the South, but you never hear of anyone retiring and moving North.
I have been taking it religouisly since last years and my hair grows fast. Altho i have been gettin it cut on and off but i notice it grows faster when i geta cut , 3-4 weks later im in need if a trim. I use to take an extra multi vitamin with it but stopped since and just take the Ultra Nourish Hair since it has pretty much a good amout of vits. I do take it with food but do that with all vits.

Thanks - I read a lot of good reviews on it on drugstore.com. The only negative is that they're very large pills - some ppl even have trouble getting them down. I guess I could cut them up. Karen, is Viactiv expensive? I thought about buying a separate calcium supplement since osteoporosis is in my dad's side of the fam.

ETA: I just looked on drugstore.com - dang it is $$$! I 'spose I'll be alright just taking my multi along with it.

I'm thinking about taking it now if I give up the multivitamin. These hair pills are HUGE and I don't want to take that + a multi. My grandma actually took Viactiv for awhile, but she thought they gave her bowel problems - I'm going to check with her to see if she still has them. I think $10 a pop for Viactiv is excessive. That is 3 times what my multi costs! I'll probably try Tums at least for the meanwhile. I'm not sure how I'll do with UN - my body seems to be sensitive to supplements. From what I've read, there is no harm in taking Tums long-term.
