Deep Conditioners for Damaged Hair?
I want a deep conditioner because my hair is really damaged from straightening it. I know Aussie has some, and so does Garnier Fructis, as well as other more expensive brands. Any recommendations for the best one you've tried?

I've heard good things about Jessicurls' Deep Treatment. It has shea butter which works well for dry hair.

I've used the Jessicurl WDT, Terax Crema, or Ouidad DT -- all with good results.

I have very dry hair and I have tried a lot of different DT's but the one that I like the best is the Mixed Chicks Deep Treatment. I put my hair in a pony tail coat the entire pony wrap it in a bun, cover my head with a scarf and sleep like that, in the morning it leaves my hair soft. Try it!!!

you can also give your normal conditioner a boost with honey, hair butter, and/or oil.

If you're interested in protein treatments, I suggest Hask Henna & Placenta. It could be found at Sally's.

You probably should get a trim depending on the extent of the damage because hair products can't make miracles. I like Cholesterol by Queen Helene. Cheap and doesn't weigh hair down or make it too soft like deep condishes often do.

The Jessicurl WDT is pretty good. The Kenra Moisturizing Condish is a good DT too.

I use Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Conditioner, ridiculously thick (like, I have trouble getting it out of the bottle kind of thick), and really moisturizing. Check out a local health food store.

I was just about to suggest aubrey organics too ... softest and best hair I ever had was when I accidentally used too much AO White Camellia conditioner and I had to leave it in my hair all day at work because it didn't fully rinse out and left a lot of oil in my hair ... then low-poo'd at home. wow, soft hair. This one is protein-free not sure if that's up your alley but my hair definitely liked it.

not sure if it is CG...
but, Lush's H'Suan Wen Hua really gets hair soft, so soft that my curls fall out if I touch them too much after styling. The effects last for about 2 days.
Ouidad's DT is also really good.

I loved the one from Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan oil. I used it after I had a phase of "must-straighten-my-hair-every-day" so my hair became really crappy. I used their shampoo, conditioner, argan oil and hair mask. Got my hair back in no time

My HG condish is the GVP conditioning balm from Sally's. It's a knock off of matrix biolage, so hydrating and great! Only $6!
That said, when dealing with damage you may also want to use some protein as other ladies have recommended. The balm is more for hydration
