Post GrOw OuT ChAlLeNgE sUmMeR o9!!

are you ready to grow out your hair for the summer? here are the rules! If you need to adjust rules for your hair feel free to.(dont bend them to much!!)

guidelines (rules):

1. no heat (flat iron, curling iron etc) roller setting is allowed.

2.eat healthy!

3.deep condition at least 1x a week for however long you want (I do it overnight)

4.co wash at least 1x a week (I do it every other day)

5. detangle hair only when wet and in sections (use fingers or wide tooth combs) a paddle brush works really well for me,start at end working up.

6.tie your hair up at night (I braid my hair in pig tails and put a satin bonnet on it, after co washing, aplying hair lotion, and applying gel.If i did not co wash that day.. I simply put hair lotion and gel and do the pig tails.)

7.massage scalp daily

8. wear PROTECTIVE STYLES!! as often as you can

9.check length only once and awhile!

10.no trimming!~dusting is ok.

11.drink PLENTY of water!!

12.moisterize hair everyday! (use cocounut oil or whatever oil you want to speal your ends!)

13. get plenty of sleep

14. excersize at least 3x a week.

((2nd day hair)))

1.untie your hair

2. spray a conditioning detangler

3.apply hair lotion

4.apply gel

5. use a paddle brush to detangle. (optional, you can use a wide tooth comb or whatever you want)

6. style.(I suggest bunning ladies!!)

I'd like to join, I've been wanting to try to see what my hair looks like when it is longer. What is the difference between dusting and trimming, though?

Talking I'm so in!!

This challenge is right up my alley. I really need this because I'm so tempted to straighten my hair out. Whew, this is right on time.

One great tip I'd like to share when washing your hair that might hopefully help someone else. I co-wash with conditioner but I dont put it directly on my scalp. I don't rinse it out until I take my shampoo and wash my scalp. When I'm done washing my scalp I rinse both the shampoo and conditioner out. Once you rinse it all out you won't be left with the stripped feeling. I've been seeing great results and less tangles. Just wanted to share and if anyone has tips please share them. I'm always on the lookout for great ideals.

Quick question, how often do we report in and do we have to post a "before" picture to this thread?

Thanks again for this challenge. I'm super excited!

I want to join, but I might get a trim this summer. I haven't trimmed my hair in almost a year and my ends are full of pixie knots.

Yes u can join

Dusting is cutting off less than half an inch

Trimming is cutting off inches
