Default hair grow faster or slower on different places of head?

like my overall length (like the bottom layer of hair) it grows fast, like an inch a month. but my layers and bangs seem to grow slower.. does anyone else have this problem?

I have the exact same problem. The front doesn't seem to grown nearly as fast as the back and crown of my head. Its very irritating!!

yep! thats why i measure my hair growth in the back, it always grows faster i wonder if it has anything to do with how the top layer is exposed to sunlight and all that. cause the top layers and bangs are a bit damaged and the bottom layer of my hair is softer and curlier

My hair grows the exact same way. It can be frustrating; I feel like I have a mullet.

yeahh. my layers are not that short but the thing about my hair is that it gets curlier as it gets longer so my layers are not curly, hardly even 2a (on a good day)
i hate having layers soo much:/ they make my hair look so unhealthy and flattttt:/

My hair is the same! When I was trying to grow out my angled bob hair, I had to trim the back (and still currently do) at least 5 times. The underside+back grows at a rate of 2+ inches per month, no joke! the front.. maybe a little over half an inch.

The hair underneath is also very healthy... could be hair oils from scalp/sun damage in the rest of the hair etc...

but its very frustrating!

I know how you feel, op. I keep checking for the length in the back and it has slowed down...meanwhile my front and crown are having a ball. My front and crown are usually the slowest, but I think now they are telling me, "see what happens when you ignore us?"

Ugh i know exactly how you feel. My layers are always drastically shorter than back of my head. To me it makes it look like my hair is much shorter than it is. My mom and I have around the same length of hair but hers looks longer because her bangs and layers are long & proportionate.
