Default How to measure hair growth?

Okay ladies I started on my gnc nourishair today. It does not feel like I am going to get an accurate measurement. I've tried a ruler, I tried stretching my hair along a piece of thread, i tried just stretching my hair standing up straight and letting where my finger ends on the tip of the hair be the gauge of how long my hair has grown (this is the method I see most of on the board). How are you ladies measuring? I'd think pressing the hair so it would hang straight would be the easiest method, but that ain't gonna happen. I plan to measure every 30 days. I wish I had measured beforehand how fast my hair grew without supplements so that I'd know if the pills were really giving me additional growth. I just hope it's obvious because my measurements are going to be shot. Any advice?

what i do is straighten a small section of the back section of my hair and take pictures every couple of months or so (not too often as i dont want to induce any extra damage). the comparison will be amazing the longer you wait.

That's great! My hair is not nearly that long yet so it won't touch the band in the back. But I will favorite that for the future!
