Hair Oils

I just started using ayurvedic and essential oils to grow out my hair and i am supposed to apply them on my scalp.

i was wondering if it was more effective to part your hair into small sections and directly oil than it is to rub the oil onto your palms and massage your entire scalp.
Been on the CG method for about a month... slowly weaning myself off of twice a week flat ironing sessions as a new years resolutions

I've only recently started oiling my scalp before I got to bed. (Mostly so that i don't have to co-wash during the week.) I'm not sure if I'm using essential oils and such, but I have noticed a difference with mixing the oil I'm using in small amounts with warm water and rubbing the scalp. My hair is happy and the scalp is not itchy and dry in between DT's.

thanks! ive been oiling my hands and just massaging my scalp for like 5 minutes every night. i always kind of felt like parting and oiling in between every part was kind of a waste of oil
