I think we are giving Patti wayyyyyyyyy to much attention here. Instead, why don't we focus on collaborating amongst ourselves and how we can make a difference....

You know I'm launching a website January 14th and if anybody is interested in writing articles or submitting pictures or making music then I'll be more then happy to post up your work!!

curly hair community we are united and we will never be divided!!

I'm in the same boat as you! Me and my boyfriend are both curlies. He absolutely loves and prefers for me to wear my hair curly. I LOVE his adorable curls.

Patti knows absolutely nothing, except on how to further enforce the media's standards on us. She comes from a place of insecurity very clearly. Everyone needs to embrace their natural self whenever possible. We were born with curls, right? That look compliments us more than any other. Not to mention, it's just plain beautiful.

my man loves my curls. Id take curly hair over straight hair any day! we were having a party the other day, n i was getting ready with my friend, n she asked on the phone if she should bring her straightener to do my hair...... my bf almost didnt let her come to the party for even saying that! i felt so proud.

I love hearing about curlies being in a relationship together. Does this happen to you?? When im out with my girl people always comment about how cute our babies would look, because they would be born with such curly hair!!

Ew. I'm just learning about this, but I'm not surprised. I've seen the show a few times and once she was trying to force a man to get botox! At least it was a man whose appearance she was trying to change, but still, I found that disturbing.

I think my curls greatly add to my overall attractiveness and I've gotten only reactions from men that confirm that. However, I remember years ago when I would on occasion straighten my hair-- I got way more attention from guys in suits than usual, NOT my type! Even if it was, I'm sure tons of them love curls too.

she wants everyone to conform to her standard of beauty.

yeah, no.

i'm jewish and black, no fake tan, honey bronze, reddish brown hair and loving it. i love my curls and being in my world. i'm sure as hell not going to let a hag who can't keep a man tell me how to get one. i've been with my dude for over 2 years. he's a red haired curly who keeps his hair short.
