Flatiron Vultures!!
Yesterday, I was at a mall and there was a little booth where they sell flatirons and man,the girl's eyes lit up when she saw me coming! I told her no thank you, I don't use any styling tools on my hair. She said that it would look real nice. I told her that I have a GHD sitting at home, gathering dust, and there is NOTHING wrong with my hair and it looks great the way it is!(And it was a good hair day) She stood there with her mouth agape as I walked off, smiling. Ha!

I had that happen to me! The funny thing was I didn't need to speak up, my hubby did for me. He looked at the girl and said "Don't you think she has enough real curl, why would she want you to put fake curls in her hair?" I laughed and we walked away, leaving her standing there with her mouth open!
I also had my hair straight one day, and had them ask me if I would let them curl it. Umm, no. It took me forever to get it straight, why would I want you to curl it back up? I can't stand those booths!

This happened to me to! I was at the mall and the first time I walked by, I knew the guy was eyeing me. Second time he tried to stop me saying "hey you, you look real smart.." and I said "NO! I love my curly hair!" and kept on walking

These flatiron vultures are in every major mall here and it is funny to see them look at my hair and don't approach me when I have a thick fro. But when I have twists in my hair, they are all ready with the iron in there hand asking to straighten my hair. I look at the person like I am about to batter them with that iron if they don't leave me alone.I guess, you or your hair needs to look more intimidating.

Yea! They always look at me n my curls but never ask. I give them that look like dont even think about it. Now the nail booth in the mall (they have hand and cuticle moisturizers and such) they get me every single time!

I remember going to the mall without my hair straightened and one of them stopped me and told me she could FIX my curls and make them more curly and look natural! HELLO!!! MY HAIR IS ALREADY CURLY AND NATURAL!

I loathe those people! They are presumptuous and judgmental about our hair and I find that so rude - when I told a guy at the shopping centre that I was happy with my curly hair and loved it he said 'REALLY?' in a very snooty way that made me want to take his straighteners and shove them where the sun don't shine

i was at the plaze and they got these straightening/curling ppl there, and i walked past i saw that they had a few ppl that they were straightening/curling, the second time i walked passed there wasnt anyone, and of cause they pounced on me.
the guy was trying to do it on me saying that it looks natural and O fizz! i was like na i dont use any heat or chemicals in my hair, n he looked surprised n was like no fizz? that was a really good hair day, n that was as little fizz as i ever have....... soooo rude!

what my sisters and I do when we walk past mall kiosks (who the heck wants to work one of those anyways???) we cut them off mid sentence and say, "No thanks, I'm allergic" no matter what they offer--products, phones, sunglasses... hahaha... always makes em confused!

The horror
I've been stopped several times by "vultures"....
I just ignore them and keep walking. No one is getting their hands on my curls!
