Fashion Maven... Mommy: Uncurly - The Answer to Every Woman's Prayers!
I get that she likes straight hair and keratin treatments. Good for her but I'm put off by the title. Guess what. Not every woman flat irons. We don't all like straight hair. And obviously she doesn't know very much about maintaining healthy hair because 450 degrees of heat would have me
She doesn't bother to tell readers that hair burns at 450 degrees which I think would be the responsible thing to do instead of just showing the results so they can make an informed decision.
Wow. She even talked about formaldehyde not being harmful. I wonder if she got that product for free to review it. That would explain the bias.

I couldn't even make it all the way through that. About the time I saw the pic's of her moms horribly "unruly" hair, I was done.

When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

Except for the cowlick, her before hair looked good and "normal". If she ever saw a bad hair day for thick 3b+, she may pass out. Lol

Also not everyone wants straight hair. Sometimes I wouldn't mind having slightly looser curls and less density but i've never wanted straight hair, even though my mom has straight hair.

HG: Jessicurl Too Shea and Kinky Curly Curling Custard
Shampoo: nonsulfate shampoo and Suave Naturals sulfate shampoo when needed
Looking at her moms pics, yeah that's what wavy hair does. It foofs out weird and get flippy frizz on the ends. It's why I pixied my hair for years. Then I figured out OH it's wavy. Once I started working with it instead of against it it's so much better. Unwound rather have 3b curls but really who wouldn't?

Wow...I just have so many things to say.
  1. Not EVERY WOMAN wants straight hair.
  2. I don't think any of her student's parents expected her to have like, a perfect blowout without a single hair out of place. You're a teacher, not a supermodel.
  3. Her mom's hair is NOT "quite unruly".
  4. Her mom's hair looked better before than after. Maybe a little product, and it would look really pretty.
I feel bad for this Carla. If she keeps torturing her hair with heat tools, it's NEVER gonna look good when it's curly, which just leads to more use of heat tools....an endless spiral! (Unless, of course, she stops using heat tools and deals with her hair looking gross for a bit)

3A, low porosity, medium thickness

Shampoo: SheaMoisture shampoos
Conditioner: SheaMoisture Raw Shea Butter Restorative Conditioner
Leave-in: Kinky Curly Knot Today

Does Carla even have curly hair? I have noticed that people who calls her mom's hair unruly usually don't have curly hair. Curly hair is considered so much of a rat's nest that they would never be seen with curls.

She might not mind her hair being crispy fried. I have a coworker who hates her curls so much she told me she wants heat damage it so it won't revert. But then I have another coworker who heat damaged hers so bad she had to cut 6 inches off because it was brittle and dry.
