My mom actually complimented my curls the other day! I went to visit her and she turned to my dad and said "ahh, look at her corkscrews, aren't they lovely?" It was so nice to be complimented by close family as because they see me so often and are so used to my curls they don't usually mention them that much. I was having a really good hair day that day as well!

Twice recently since going CG. My straight haired friend, while she didn't said anything about my curls, she did touched them and kind of played with them, as if pleasantly amused by it.

Another one is antoher straight haired girl who noted my hair and said, "You look really nice today."

i always get the best compliments from my man, he loves my curly hair, n if i have up loosly up he'll take it out so its all crazy. the other day at our party i was getting ready with a friend n she asked if i wanted to straighten my hair, n my bf turned round n told her to go if she wants to straighten my hair.

A week into going CG, I had two co-workers notice the change to my hair and tell me that they really love the curly, shinier look. One told me it looked much sexier.

I got a beveled layered cut a few days ago, which has helped bring out more of my curl, and in the past 2 days I've gotten like 5 compliments! Classmates, 4 of my instructors, and my friend's mom (who said, "Oh I love your hair. Don't complain; people pay good money for hair like that. I pay good money for hair like that" *points to perm* which I though was actually natural...)

I used mousse today which really amped up the volume and everyone seemed to like it a lot.

I had two compliments this past week

I was in Walmart when a woman stopped and told me she loved my hair.

Another day I was at a health food store and a woman stopped and asked if my hair is natural and said it's beautiful.

Those were good days

More and more people everyday are complimenting my hair, it's crazy.

There was this one that stood out to me for some reason. It was like, half compliment and half... not.

I was working the other day and this straight haired woman paid for her order. So I told her the price and while she's digging in her purse, she looked at my hair and said with a smile, "My goodness, your hair is so beautiful! Is it a wig?"

I go, "Uh no. It's my hair."

She goes, "... Oh. You mean like... wait, did you perm your hair?" but she said it in a way that she was almost offended at my answer.

I was like, "No, it's not a perm. It's my real hair, and it's naturally like this."

Well, she was all like "WELL YOU'RE VERY LUCKY I LOVE IT BLAH BLAH BLAH" and off she went.

It was kinda funny and awkward, lol. I don't know why, but... a lot of other women are also touching my hair more frequently now. One of my straight haired friend was talking to me about something and for no reason, touched the back of my head to play with my curls.

Ah man, being curly in a world of straight is an adventure!

Four times in the past two day I have gotten a compliment. Yesterday, my mom's friend come over and she has had curly hair for her whole life, and we talk a lot about curly hair and she told me that it looked great.

Also yesterday, another one of my mom's friend told me that it was great that at my age (I'm a teen) that I embraced the curl. Today, a complete stranger told me that it was beautiful, and my mailman asked me if it was real and told me it was very pretty.

I was in GNC with my mother the other day, and while she was at the counter buying vitamins for my father, I was looking at a large jar of organic coconut oil. One of the guys who worked there looked at me and said, "You really don't need that, your hair and skin is already so beautiful." The great part is that he was White, I'm mixed, and I live in the deep south. It made my day, I gave him my number, and we've been on a few dates. It's always nice when a guy appreciates my hair, but even nicer when someone of a totally different racial background likes it.

The best compliment is always "Oh my gosh, is that your natural hair?" People are always amazed that yes, they're natural! I do admit to them that I don't just wake up like that, but it's kind of fun to know that people are jealous of curls!

In the grocery store the other day: the bagging girl (whom I was admiring because she looked very pretty) suddenly said, "your hair is sooo pretty! I wish mine would be that curly." and then the checkout lady joined in as well. I thought it was funny because I had been admiring HER, and then she compliments ME! You never know what other people are thinking.

Oh, also I picked up my older sister from the airport 2 days ago and she said my hair looked really healthy and great. She chemically straightens her curls and I'm trying to encourage her to let em go. Too bad she's moving to Memphis and humidity....

I showered last night and tried plopping over night for the first time and it made my hair INSANELY curly. Like the curliest it's ever been. I live in a big college town and when I was walking around today, a few people I'd never met before stopped to say how good it looked. I was pleasantly surprised.

I got my hair highlighted over the weekend. My stylist owns her own shop in a very small town. When I was finishing up styling my hair, an older lady walked in who was there to get a perm. She really likes my hair and couldn't believe it was natural. My stylist also likes my curls. :]

Yesterday, my boyfriend came home from work and asked me "Are you doing anything special to your hair? It looks really good."
He's been complimenting me, saying my curly hair looks adorable, a lot over the past couple days.

Funny thing is, I'm only 4 days CG. Immediate results are fantastic.

ETA: Before going CG, a particular group of girls took me to the beach a few summers ago and while we were hanging around on the sand drying off, they started complimenting my hair. Most of them have straight or 2a hair but one has fantastic 3b curls. they were all saying they wish they had curls like mine. Felt good.
