Smile do you like your curly hair?

i dont know.
sometimes i hate it - when it goes frizzy and looks terrible! and it gets annoying because i have to wet my hair every morning for it to look decent.

However, sometimes i actually love my hair (not trying to sound too big headed :P) but when I'm having a good hair day, i get loads of compliments from people I barely even speak too or strangers! And i like having different unique hair , can also be quite sexy haha

So just wondering , do you like your curly hair ?

Because I think we should all learn to love it!

I, for one, love it, frizz and all. In fact, there was a little bit where my hair wasn't very frizzy and I hated it. Ask anyone. I was always trying to get a little bit of frizz back in. Though curly hair can be difficult, annoying, stubborn, crazy... (four hours later...), ... and just plain hard, I think the benefits outweigh all of the struggle we go through.

I don't like it, I love it! I consider my hair to be one of my best features. It can be a pain at times, sure, but I've never been a straightener so I can't compare caring for it vs caring for straight hair.

I love my curly hair. It suits my personality. And people compliment it even when I think I'm having a bad hair day.

I love my curly hair too. It makes me look more like me instead of like everyone else!

I LOVE my curly hair. I got rid of all my flat irons, curling irons and brushes. I'll never go back. My straight hair was booooooring! Curls forever!

I love my curls - they suit me so much better than straight hair ever would. There are plenty of people with long hair, and plenty of people with curls...not that many have both, so I consider myself VERY lucky. Sure, they can be a lot of work, but they're worth the time. On the other hand, they can also be very carefree for days when treated right. I think it's a fair trade, so I'll take the time and spend the money to do it right. My hair is much happier now!

Yes, it's worth the effort. It can be hard to take care of, but, as violetcurls said, the benefits outweight all the struggle we go through.

I love my curly hair.

Today I also "hate!!!" my hair... I think I finally find a regime that works and then "puff" no definition a mass of craziness....AND I had to get on to work like that Too...
Days like these make me wonder.. hmmm....and the weather wasn't the problem....
Yesterday you would think I had someone elses hair...Well behaved...I think my hair is a spoiled rotten brat who just wont behave till it gets what it wants...problem is I dont always know what it wants....I don't speak enough "curly" .....Definitely a Love/HATE relationship /

Well, I love my curls now but it was a long hard journey.

When I was in my late teens early twenties I brushed it when it was wet and tied it back until it was dry so it didn't really curl but it wasn't straight either.

Then when I was twenty three I discovered flat irons and straightened for the next four and a half years and also bleached my hair as well.

Last year I cut my hair to chin length had the blonde toned out I had a trimmed alot to get most of the colour damaged hair out.

I have grown it ever since and in June this year I came across Naturally Curly website I have only straightened my hair twice since then and after learning the best way to look after my curls I LOVE them.

I used to hate it. I spent about 15 years in denial... constantly blowdrying it straight and even had that Japanese straightening thing done twice. My hair was just one frizzball - not curly, not straight. After the second time I did the Japanese treatment, I realised that my new hair that was coming through was proper curl so I decided I wasn't going to straighten it any more and just let the curls back. OK - I still straightened it but much less than I used to...

But I still wasn't thrilled with the curls - some days were good hair days, others were so awful I could barely bring myself to leave the house. Since discovering CG and this website (by complete accident!) I've had more good hair days in the last month than I've had in the last five years!

I did like my hair straight, but I think the curls are more me - wild and unpredictable

I love mine because it's different. It's not the same old straight hair I used to always walk around with. Worrying about getting it wet all the time was annoying. However, it is also annoying to have to wet my hair every day. Sometimes I straighten it just to have a dry head for more than 1 day straight.

I used to feel exactly the same way. I thought my hair was just messed up and would never look like the way I wanted it to and would always be the way it was. My hair is better now, though not as perfect as some of the pictures on this sites. And my hair still has a long way to go. It is an extremely slow process, just like P-NutCurlz said. Just remember, we've all been there. =]

Being someone who's been on both sides of the fence, I was born with stick straight hair that wouldn't even kink when braided wet. It changed when I hit puberty. I thought at the age of 13 or 14 that I was gonna jump off a bridge when the texture changed and my strawberry blonde hair went dark brown.

I was, I guess, 24 when I stopped trying to straighten my hair with a brush and blowdryer. I've recently turned 38, haven't owned a brush since 24 and love my curly/wavy/unruly/frizzy/wobbly hair no matter how it's behaving.

I wouldn't change it for the world!!!!!!!!
