Lol I would have smacked her hand also. I dislike when people touch my hair. I went out for happy hour one day and my fro was pulled 3 times in less than 5 mins! Touching my hair is an intimate thing for me and I don't like when people stroke it

yes happeneds to me, more so when i was younger though, my natural hair colour is red, that has been changing from light to a more deep colour. i used to dy it quiet a bit cause i was so sick of it, but now ive gone natural and its slowly growing out, now its an unusual red.

my hair loves conditioner only styling!
my hair goal length is bra strap length when curly.

I absolutely hate having my hair touched. I decided to half straighten and floof out my hair, and I got ambushed from behind by my friends at least three times that day .! And alsoo, people just randomly boing my curls! That's how the people that sit behind me in class entertain themselves all period

I hate when people touch my hair, then they have the nerve to say I'm over reacting! If they had to deal with my hair they'd be just as mad if someone decided to ruffle their hair! One of my good friends love my hair and she always touches it, even though i've told her over and over again not to. I think some people just see your hair and are like "oooooooo curly, I need to touch!".

Im actually new to this.. I remember when I was first starting out and Id see curlies complain about people touching... well I had 5 different ppl touch my hair in one day.. I thought I was going to have to drop kick someone in their throat if they touched my hair again and Im normally a really chill person...But I felt my she devil trying to poke out... at least ask.. jeeze..

I don't mind people touching my hair as long as it's not a stranger. It's usually followed by me giving them a weird look and them saying my hair is pretty. I'm down with that =P

I have developed reflexes from people touching my hair. But since my hair takes forever to dry, I would rather they not touch it! Ever! They'll have a wet broken hand. Smh. People like to pat me on my crown and that part frizzes like crazy! I'm not a dog either!

My sister even cringes when people touch her crown and she's 6 years old!

Well, I just had airport security pat my hair down on my way home from visiting family. No matter how gentle or non-obtrusive they tried to be, I was just HEATED!! Mind you, my hair is in twists and was pulled into a half-ponytail with a flexi-8. Not likely that I'd be able to hide a dangerous item in there...my hair desperately wants to be washed now.

This reminds me of an article I read where a lady's Afro was patted down and searched for drugs by TSA workers. Crazy! I'm sorry they put you through that.

Completely agree. In college I let my hair grow out more than usual and I got extremely tired of drunk chicks pulling/patting/petting/sniffing my hair. Ended up chopping it all off just so people would stop.

Then again when I see a girl with those long barrel curls, I feel an urge to touch it (even though I've been on the receiving end of this many times)... No idea why it's so fun to pull one down and watch it bounce back up...

I would NEVER touch anyone's hair (without asking) its so personal and for someone to just throw their mitts into your mane they would deserve a smack down. People that I am close too can touch it but for some random person or an associate - you betta ask somebody or prepare to hear it AND feel the wrath!
