I agree with everyone else, though!
Even if you think that it's annoying when people say their wavy hair is curly, you really have to convey that in a more considerate way. This has just been downright rude. If you think about it, all of the 2s are technically "wavy," and 3c-4c are considered "kinky." If you go by your standards then, only 3a and b types are "curly"...

...which really is just an ignorant thing to say. Sure, it's annoying sometimes when 1c-ers and 2a-ers complain about their curly hair, but not necessarily because their hair isn't really "curly." It's annoying because their hair, even if it is just wavy, is beautiful and has so much potential!

I completely agree with you. It gets on my last nerve when my friends with a slight wave in their hair complain about their "curls". If they think their "curls" are hard to take care of, they should try taking care of mine!

This is so absurd.

1. wavy hair is no easier to deal with than very curly hair. In some way, I think it can present more of a challenge as an awkward wave is hard to flatten or rearrange, and waves are inherently unpredictable, whereas with curls you pretty much know what you're going to be dealing with every day.

And

2. The abstract for the "Hall of Shame" section is (to paraphrase): a place to discuss curl bashing. And yet here is a thread which is little more than bashing--or in the very least belittling--people with a variation of the hair texture that this forum is intended to support.

It's basically, "My hair is harder and so therefore more worthy of consideration than yours, so do not speak to me about the tribulations you might have with your own hair, or in any way relate your hair texture to mine, because you have it all easy-peasy and do not know what follicular suffering is!"

It's hair martyrdom. And it's absurd.
Uhh .. Did you really just say that curly hair is predictable ? Um no . Sorry to sound rude , but no . I can do something slightly different in my routine , something super small , and my hair will look completely different . I never have hair that looks the same each

I agree with Whirlyhair!!! o.o
Ok, I knew a girl who was type 1 and she scrunched her hair with so much gel until she couldn't scrunch anymore. In the end, she had 1C hair and she came to me and said :"My hair is so frizzyy and curly, oh my God, you cannot understand!", That just annoyed me but I let her go.
But she had straight hair, no wavy,
And so, don't care about comments, they're just this: comments. They're not the reality. Who cares if you are type2,3 or 4? You aren't surerly a straight haired girl. I guess everyone of us knows his/her own hair type...but what is important is to know the property of our hair not the type.
This is a community for all those girls who don't know how to style and wash their hair and they get tips&trick that are very useful.
The goal is to have healthy hair.
The type should be the last thing we care about.

Why does this thread even exist still? Doesnt this thread serve only one real purpose - to piss off pretty much everyone here? Shut it down & move on with life. Nobody comes out of this thread feeling good about themselves.
