sunsilk commercial
i was watching tv while ignoring countless 4-H projects this afternoon and saw an APPALLING commercial... i don't really know what sunsilk is as far as product, but i expect its a shampoo or conditioner??? anyway... it shows a few different women with various hair problems, from dryness to lack of volume to split ends... i thought it was a cute commercial till they showed a girl with hair about my length and type but without much product at all... and the comment they gave her was, "THIS LADY WOULD NEED A STRAIGHT JACKET TO CONTROL THAT POOF! she needs sunsilk pink!"
CURSES!!!!

Yeah, I thought her hair looked fine.
But their de-frizzr works pretty good for me, and it's for curly/wavy hair.

I was going to post this, although I thought it was blue.
The lady had nice curls too.
The lady with the "flat" hair looked fine to me as well.

Oh it does work good.
Just a warning, with me, if I got any on my face or neck, it gets a little broken out/clogged pore type stuff.
Other than that, it made my hair nice and soft ;]

That commercial bugs me too! Personally I thought every woman shown had pretty decent looking hair, and they insulted them all. I am curious about their products though...

ehh, they're ok. i have the pink (damage) and blue (anti-poof). i don't see much difference using the anti-poof, but the pink one does smooth frizzies and stray hairs sticking up.

I saw this commerical and I thought that the girl with "poofy" hair had some of the most gorgeous hair ive ever seen, i have curls that are 100000000 times crazier than that, Id trade my hair for that "poof" in an instant. Its so offensive as if the only nice hair is straight,, sometimes that gets a little boring, thats why people with straight hair are always trying to get curls and body :x

Re: sunsilk commercial
Yeah, it's absolutely adorable when people make snide remarks about any kind of hair but curly.

her hair looked good! and so did the flat girl's hair as well ^_^ I caved though when I saw the sale at CVS I tried their curl one, which worked better than their anti-poof one. I liked them both, but I had to use a ton of product to see any difference annd the results only lasted a week, or two I have yet to find a great product since I moved out here to Texas! humidity is my enemy. I used to adore curls rock curl cream, but it's not nearly enough hold for me now >.<
I do hate commercials, movies, makeovers, anything that are mean to curly hair! I think we have some of those gorgeous hair in the world, and many people envy it! All I ever get is compliments for my hair! asked if it's natural all the time ^_^ it makes me feel good. I'm not sure if i would ever go out with it straightened that'd be taking a special thing about 'me' away.

I think those commercials are obnoxious. I just saw the one for blue with the waitress with what looked like wavy hair. It's gross to insult people to make them insecure enough to buy your product. I hope these products tank.

Oh I know...I've seen that commercial.
But, Sunsilk's condish "Anti-Poof" is amaaaaaaaazing (for me anyway.) It seriously reduces my frizz.

I got an ad for Sunsilk in the mail, and it has a little "joke" for each color/formula. For the purple straightening one, it says "Kinky is great... if you're into S & M." Don't they know that lots of people have naturally kinky hair?? Not only is their "joke" insulting, it's racist too!

It's lifestyle prejudicial too. And it's only kinky the first time
I have some samples I haven't tried yet. The way they sell it is just so umm ick? dunno how else to put it.

Okay, I know this product line has been brought up several times in this forum, but I think the company deserves a permanent slot in the Hall of Shame. I have despised their tactics since the first time their commercial hit the airwaves, but now they've taken it to a new low. Not only are they preying on women's insecurities about their various textures, now they're going after their color as well. The blondes are teased for being stupid, while the latest pro-blonde commercial ends with a woman looking into the camera and saying "Sorry brunettes. I'm sure your mothers think you're pretty." Is this product line intended for the teenage "mean girl" types? They're the only ones I can imagine finding these commercials to be amusing. I suppose only redheads with straight but volumized hair would fit the Sunsilk ideal.
