So frustrated

I'm so sick and tired of being sick and tired.
I have systemic lupus, fibromyalgia, hypothyroid, GERD, etc, etc.... my health is fabulous.
I knew I was losing hair.. it shows up everywhere!
I finally go for a haircut. I haven't had my hair cut in over a year.
Stylist touches my hair and is taken back. Asks where all my hair has gone.
My ponytail thickness used to around a quarter-50 cent piece.. now it's less than a dime.
It's also fine now and super dry. Even after cutting my hair, the ends immediately dried up. Ridiculous!
This damn disease has taken something from every part of my life. I'm so over it.
I started Rogaine which is a pain in the butt. My stylist recommended Nioxin. Vitamins make me sick. I can take pills by the fistful but a multi vitamin will make me vomit in minutes. Go figure.

Thanks for listening
Nicole
Crimson I send you an enormous (((HUG))). No wonder you are frustrated and exasperated. Damn diseases

I have a small suggestion regarding the Rogaine, because I use it also. It's available for men in a foam (like a mousse) which is much, much easier to apply. My dermatologist told me since it is twice as powerful as the women's Rogaine, just apply it once a day. It's a cinch to use and it works. One less PITA thing to deal with.

My heart goes out to you and I truly hope you start feeling better today! PM me if I can ever help with anything, and keep posting. We're listening and we hear you!

By the way, I love your screen name.
2/c and some 3A. Modified CG.
Protein sensitive
Highly porous. Color over grey.
Best 1st day method: Super Soaker
Conditioners: Curl Junkie Beauticurls Strengthening Conditioner,
Deep condish: Curl Junkie Curl Rehab
Stylers: Mix Curls in a Bottle into everything for shine. Terrible pj
Sometimes try roller sets - classic glamor but I prefer my curls.
Every day is a gift

Hugs to you from me, too. I also have the "dime" ponytail. Thyroid issue in my case (autoimmune).

I have one niece that's totally bald (alopecia universalis), and when my hair started thinning some years ago, i was so worried I'd end up hairless.

So, I'm grateful from every strand that stays put!

Go for volume to disguise the thinning. Very defined curls/clumps just makes the thinness look more obvious.

And I hope the Rogaine works for you. I have not gone that route yet (still early in using the biotin internally and MSM/rosemary/sage on scalp).

I'm going to finish the liquid that I have then change to the foam. Once a day is so much better than twice a day.

Autoimmune disease just sucks. Once one area goes wonky, it's a matter of time for something else to break down.

Poor girl!

Agreed! It could be worse.

That's what I've been doing.. even then I have a couple bare spots.

I feel for you girls.....
I am also dealing with thinning hair (as well as a list of other issues) due to my darn thyroid. I've been looking into an issue with my adrenal glands....so much info and no idea where to start.

good luck and i'm keeping my fingers crossed for all of us
