I have just learned about CG (thank God) and am wondering if anyone else has Psoriasis of the scalp? Mine is not that bad, but I do need to use a tea tree or other harsh shampoos once a week to keep it at bay. Does anyone have a suggestion for a CG friendly Psoriasis shampoo!

I don't have psoriasis but if you were using a tea tree oil shampoo maybe you'd get good results with Nature's Gate's Tea Tree Oil conditioner (available at health food stores or online). Whatever you do DON'T get one called Hair Therapy, it's awful!

I used the Jane Carter Solution shampoo and it's the only thing non RX that's really helped and I have it bad.

I'm using Trader Joes nourish shampoo which is CG and it helps a lot as well no flakes or scabs and almost no itch.

Is that definately CG? I'd like to try that. I think I may have some psoriasis on my scalp. I think No Poo helps.

It is, I just checked the LOI again. I think I bought it for my daughter years ago too, the smell of course is strong just like TTO.

I highly recommend anyone with psioriasis/excema of the scalp consider Celiac as a possible cause. Since I have given up wheat, barley and oats my scalp has been perfect! Any indiscretion, and my scalp is the first indication.

UPDATE: I've been using this conditioner to co wash with and it has really improved my scalp. It gets rid of any kind of buildup and I love the mint in it. It's not very moisturizing so if anyone has any suggestions for another CG mint co wash please suggest away!!

I'm still trying to figure out just how much mint is in it, but I've been having good luck with the vo5 clarifying conditioner vanilla mint, it's new...it seems really moisturizing to me and it cleans very well...I mentioned it on the general board if you want to have a look at what some others are saying about it.

I have psoriasis and I use medication called Derma Smoothe FS. I havent had any outbreaks in four years. Its a topical cream and it takes a week or two to clear up.
