going bald at 23 :(

i really dont know what to do.... i used to have long thick curly hair now my hair never grows long, breaks off, falls off alot in the shower and it's more just a big ball of frizz then curly now... my hair it SUPER dry now it's so bad as soon as i get out of the shower some parts are dry instantly!!
i am 23 and i have arthrits and i take extremly strong medication for it i also have PCO which i heard can cause thinning hair... even if i try to flat iron my hair it doesnt get straight like it used to, one wind goes through my hair and it's curly again. i was thinking of buying redken extreme... does anyone if that will help my hair or can anyone recomend some good products?
im so thankful for all help i can get i really look awful... my fiancÚ took a picture of me outside last summer and i wanted to cry when i saw how thin my hair looked... :'(

Hi there, I am so sorry hear that you are going through this rough time. I don't know if I will be any help, but I can offer what do when at times my hair goes through excessive shedding.

I pretty much leave my hair alone all together. I usually find a low manipulation style to keep my hair in. I usually go for some twist or maybe you wear you hair in a bun, if its long enough.

I keep my hair moisturized because mines gets dry every easily, too. So I usually take a spray bottle and dampen my twist with water or rinse them under the shower head and put some oil or butter over them to seal in the moisture.

I hear some ladies had success with tea rinses also to combat the excessive shedding. I stopped mines in its trail with iron tablets. My iron was extremely low and my hair suffered because of it.

HTH in some sort of way. =(
