How did you nurse your hair through accutane usage?
I recently started accutane (called Roaccutane here in Australia, so forgive me if I call it that from time to time), and it has just started to affect my hair. I have 3a, low porosity hair which is also a bit protein sensitive. I am looking for tips from others who have been on this medication. How did you manage your hair? What kinds of stuff worked well to keep it moisturized?
Mine isn't falling out (so far), it's just getting very very dry and a halo of frizz is popping up all over. My clumps are losing it despite all the gel and deep treatments. I guess that's to be expected. I am growing out a pixie cut, and I would love to be able to keep growing, not chop it all off and start over if possible, but did this medication stress your hair so much that that might be my best option?
My other problem is that I don't have access to all the products you have in the US to try. Shipping from the US is horrendously expensive, and there just aren't many products here that are CG. I make my own low-poo and condish also, so are there any ingredients you could recommend?
Thanks for any advice you can offer.
