Unhappy Traction Alopecia and Anemia

Hey ladies,

Due to a whole of hair abuse from childhood, I was told by Trichologists that I have traction alopecia. They were both (I saw two for a second opinion lol) confident my hair would grow back. It hasn't really. I think I left it for too long, the damage is now permanent. It's not that big a deal to me anymore, because now that I'm natural (it was the reason I transitioned), my hair a lot thicker around the bald area and covers it well.

But one of the Trichologists, when finding out that I'm anemic, said that has an affect of my hair growth and put me on a cycle of iron tablets. Honestly, nothing really improved after the full course.

I don't know of anyone else has or has had traction apolecia and over come it? Would LOVE to hear from you x

No experience with traction alopecia. How long have you been giving your hair? Make sure your diet is giving your body everything it needs- iron, omega 3 fatty acids, B vitamins, magnesium, vit c, vit d, zinc, probioticsfor a healthy gut so you can absorb these nutrients. It can take time, like 6 months.
