Arrow Ottawa slaps TOXIC designation on chemicals used in shampoos & conditioners!!!

Recently in Canada the federal government is placing on its list of toxic substances two silicon-based chemicals widely used in shampoos and conditioners, where they help give hair the silky, smooth feeling often played up in advertisements.

I thought you all might want to check this out. Check it out at

Also, check the "Skin Deep - Cosmetic Safety database" to check the safety ratings and chemicals used in your personal products. http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/

I posted this on the General Discussion Forum:

Most likely an over-reaction, but maybe more silicone free products will be developed as a result, and that would be a good thing for CG!
