Default Plopping

How does plopping work for your porous hair?

I don't do it as much since this year seems to be drier/low humidity/dew point. Maybe this spring will have high humidity...

I use it quite a bit with success... It keeps my hair up and contained while I get dressed, breakfast, etc... That said, it plopped funky today and the curl pattern looks weird - but that could also be because I tried a different condish that my hair did not like. :-\

Products loving my hair:
Co-Wash/LI/RO: DC One Condition
Gel: KCCC, BC Curl Enhancing Cream, DC AnGel

Moisture loving, oil and protein hating (though it tolerates some in products).

I'm not sure if im porous but i absolutely love plopping. It helps dry my hair but also with the clumping. I wash at night so i plop overnight and it does seem to help clumping. Then again, ive never really tried not plopping and i never really have good hair days . I guess it all depends on what works for you but i would definetly give it a try

I think I'm normal-overly porous, medium-thick hair(although I see fine hair too), love protein

Default Plopping

I know that texture and porosity are frequently linked, but I wonder if texture matters more than porosity when it comes to plopping?

My hair doesn't plop well at all. The curl pattern gets squished flat on the top of my head, but that's because my hair is so fine that it gets easily mashed.

On the other hand, if I did a protein treatment and made my hair stronger, I wonder if it would be more resistant to the squish effect?

Hmmm....I see more experimentation is in order
